CTET 2019 Exam Eligibility Criteria

CTET 2019 Eligibility - Based on Education:

CTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria For Primary Classes Teacher:

(A). Primary Classes (I-V) Teacher:

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the below-mentioned CTET eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Passed Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent and should have passed or appeared in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  • Candidate should score at least 45% marks in the Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent and should be passed or appeared in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Passed Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent and should be passed or appeared in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent examination and should be passed or appeared in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Graduation and should be passed or appeared in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

(B). Secondary Classes (VI-VIII) Teacher:

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the below-mentioned CTET eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the completed Graduation and should be passed or appeared in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Graduation and should be passed or appeared in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Graduation and should be passed or appeared in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent and should be passed or appeared in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Senior Secondary examination or its equivalent and should be passed or appeared in final year of 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

  • Candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Graduation and should be passed or appeared in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

NOTE: 

  • Relaxation in Marks: SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be given the 5% relaxation in marks in the minimum Educational Qualification.

  • Recognition of Qualification: Any Diploma or Degree Course in teacher education recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will only be considered. If it is Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education) then it must be recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

  • If a person has completed his/her Diploma in Education (Special Education) then also he/she needs to undergo an NCTE recognized 6-month Special Programme in Elementary Education. 


CTET 2019 Eligibility - Based on Age Limit:

As per the eligibility criteria, CTET 2019 age limit is 18-35 years.
