Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test is abbreviated as CSSET conducted by Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, to allow candidates to gain admission at Sanskrit deemed universities.
The Combined Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (CSSET) allows the candidate to apply for three Universities concentrating on the Sanskrit language.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan: It is a premier Institution for promoting Sanskrit studies in India and abroad. Founded in 1970, it is the biggest Sanskrit University in the world today. Development of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan as a world-class university for the establishment of the glory of Sanskrit learning in the global context.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha: Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha is a Deemed University in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The school was established in 1956 under the Ministry of Education by Government of India to propagate Sanskrit studies, traditional Sastras and Pedagogy. The Professional Programmes offered in the university are Siksha Sastri (B.Ed.)
Admission to all the UG and PG courses are based on the merit of the student considering their qualifying examination results as well as Personal Interview. For admission to B.Ed, M.Ed, Ph.D programmes, the university conducts different entrance tests.
Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth: Sanskrit language university, located in New Delhi, India. It was established on 8 October 1962, and the University Grants Commission, granted the status of a deemed university to the Vidyapeetha in November 1987., the second most prestigious university for classical India studies in North India
The CSSET 2019 Exam is conducted for B.Ed courses in different cities all across the country.
It is a competitive exam which allows the candidate to enroll for B.Ed program.
The CSSET is a national level examination. It is held once every year.
The Exam Syllabus consisting of different topics under Knowledge of Sanskrit Linguistic Components, Creative Writing, Comprehension, Teaching Aptitude, Sanskrit Literature, Proficiency in Sanskrit, General Knowledge and Mental Ability.
All the candidates applying for CSSET must meet all the eligibility requirements as mentioned by the examination committee.
Application forms of CSSET 2019 will be made available for all the candidates from 5th January 2019 to 5th March 2019.

The institution organizing the CSSET examination has a defined eligibility criterion which has to be met by all the candidates applying for the examination.
Candidates must have completed Shastri or B.A. (With Sanskrit) in 10+2+3 Scheme and/or M.A. (Sanskrit) from a recognized University with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates) marks in the qualifying examination.

An application fee of Rs.1000 needs to be paid at the time of registration, payment can be either online through debit/credit card or Net banking or offline through challan.

All the candidates are required to log in to their account with the application form number to gain access to the admit card.
The admit card will be made available from 5th April 2019 on the official website of CSSET 2019.
NOTE: All the candidates are required to carry valid government authorized identification along with their admit card to the venue on the day of examination.

The time duration for the candidate to attempt the CSSET will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
CSSET 2019 will be divided into two main sections.
The second main section will have questions framed to test the candidate's proficiency in the Sanskrit language.

All the candidates are expected to be aware of the syllabus followed by the CSSET 2019
CSSET 2019 question paper is of 200 marks, contains 2 sections.
Part A consist of 160 marks.
Part B consist of 40 marks.
Each question in part-A carries equal marks.
The candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer.
Every question in Part B carries equal marks i.e. 10 marks for a single answer.
There is no negative marking in this exam.
There is no deduction of marks for blank answers.

All the candidates shortlisted based on the ranking and performance on their written CSSET 2019 examination can register for the counselling process by 11th July 2019.
The student shortlist will be formed on the basis of the candidate's performance on the written exam and the rank they managed to secure in the examination process.
The candidates qualified for counselling must report at the venue as per date and time scheduled.
Note: CSSET 2019 Counselling will be held in all the three centres. The qualified candidates must be physically present for the counselling process.

Application form: The application forms will be made available for all candidates by 5th January 2019. The candidates must fill the application forms with relevant details and embed required documents. The form must be submitted at least by 5th March 2019.
Admit Card: All the candidates must obtain his/her admit card from the official website by 5th April 2019.
Exam date: The CSSET 2019 exam date is scheduled to be held on 25th May 2019.
Requirements for categories: The examination requires all candidates belonging to SC/ST/differently abled categories to have a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examinations to be eligible for CSSET #year.
Proof Verification: The proof of having passed the qualifying examination should be presented for verification along with the application. In case the result is awaited, it must be submitted (declared or confidential) at the time of admission; otherwise, the application will be canceled.
Steps to fill up CSSET 2019 Application form:
Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of CSSET 2019. Please upload passport-size dated latest Photographs on the online application.
Step 2: The catchment area of students desiring admission in the Campuses of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan will be considered on the basis of that University from where the candidate has passed Shastri/B.A. (Sanskrit). Hence, be careful in filling the catchment area in the form.
Step 3: Only the regular students who have passed Shastri III year or continuing III year or passed Acharya or appearing II year final exam from the campuses of Sansthan - Jammu, Lucknow, Sringeri, Jaipur, Puri, Trichur, Bhopal, Mumbai, Agartala & Devprayag or Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati or Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, New Delhi will fill Campus/ Vidyapeetha.
Step 4: After the submission of the online application, the candidate will be given login credentials for future use which the candidate must preserve until the end of the admission process.
Step 5: With the given credentials, the candidate can log in to his/her page and can access various options regarding the application. Correction or modification of application data will only be available for a short period of time.
Step 6: Click Auto Up Gradation option, to apply for reconsideration in admission in preferred campus subject to availability according to merit only. Without the selection of Auto Up Gradation, the transfer will be not permissible after admission.
Availability of form: The application form for CSSET 2019 will be made available to all the candidates from #application_form_date.
Postal option: The application form can be obtained from the official website or through postal service.
Form-filling: The candidates are to fill in all relevant details on the application form, after thorough self-verification.
Sign in: Log in to the official website with the provided credentials.
Records: Note down the roll number and the examination centre allotted for the candidate.
Obtaining Admit Card: Candidates get their admit card by downloading through the official website.
Damage/Loss of admit card: If the candidate misplaced or damaged the admit card through accident, a new one will be issued on the payment of a fine of Rs.50.
Exam mode: The CSSET 2019 will be conducted on pen and paper and will not have an online alternative.
Paper Pattern: The CSSET 2019 question paper is divided into two sections - Part A: containing objective type questions and Part B: with descriptive questions.
Time Duration: An attempt at CSSET can go up to 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Division: There will be a separate CSSET question paper for Part B.
Important: Only those candidates who pass in both, CSSET Part A and Part B will be considered successful.

After the CSSET 2019 result is announced, all the candidates shortlisted on the basis of performance and ranking will be notified to proceed with the counselling process.

The CSSET 2019 counselling procedure is set to commence from 11th July 2019.
