 UG Integrated Course

10+2 exam from a recognized Central/ State Board 

  • 45% marks (in case of Unreserved/ OBC/ Specially Abled Persons and other category students)

  • 40% marks (in case of SC/ST category students).

 There will be no upper age limit for the students to apply for UG & PG law courses. 

  Students who are appearing in the qualifying exam will be eligible to apply for CLAT 2019

 PG Course

LLB/ LLB {Hons.} Five Years/ other equivalent examination. 

  • 55% marks (in case of Unreserved/ OBC/ Specially Abled Persons and other category students)

  • 50% marks (in case of SC/ST category students).


CLAT 2019 Eligibility for UG Courses

  • Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for the candidates to appear for the CLAT 2019. 

  • Qualification: The minimum qualification for the candidates is to have graduated Class 12 from any recognized board. 

  • Minimum Marks:

    • The candidates who belong to Unreserved/ OBC/ Specially Abled Persons (SAP) categories must have passed in the qualifying examination with an aggregate of 45% marks.

    • The SC/ST candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 40% marks.

  • Class 12 Candidates: Class 12 candidates appearing for the final exams in 2019 can also apply for CLAT 2019. They have to submit the required documents during the admission process.

  • In case of equal marks, the break of tie will happen by the following procedure:

    • Higher marks in the Component/ Section on Legal Aptitude in the CLAT 2019 exam

    • Higher Age

    • Computerised draw of lots.


CLAT 2019 Eligibility for PG Courses

  • Age Criteria: The upper age limit for the candidates has not been prescribed for post-graduate programs by the conducting authority.

  • Minimum Qualification: The candidates who have passed LLB/ Integrated LLB (Hons.) or any other equivalent examination from any recognized institution are considered as eligible for CLAT 2019.

  • Minimum Marks:

    • The candidates who belong to Unreserved/ OBC/ Specially Abled Persons (SAP) categories must have passed in the qualifying examination with an aggregate of 55% marks.

    • The SC/ ST candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

  • Final Year LLB Candidates: The candidates who are in the final year of the LLB program are also eligible for CLAT 2019 if they produce the required documents during the counselling process.

  • In case of equal marks, tie-breaker will be done by the following procedure:

    • Higher Age.

    • Computerized draw of lots.


CLAT 2019 Eligibility for NRI Students

Candidates must contact the concerned university directly for admission formalities, eligibility, documents required, and other related queries for seeking admission under the NRI/ NRI sponsored category.

West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata has different criteria for admissions and are as follows:

  • There is a total of 17 seats for the candidates aspiring for admissions in the undergraduate courses whereas there are no seats available for the postgraduate program.

  • CLAT Office will issue the list of students eligible for taking admission under this category.

  • Documents required by the NRI Candidates at the time of CLAT Admission Procedure:

    • Copy of Valid Indian Passport of the Student

    • Copy of Visas obtained in the last 12 months

    • Certificate from the local embassy stating that the person has a valid NRI/ OCI or PIO Card.

  • Documents required by NRI Sponsored Candidates at the time of admission:

    • Copy of Valid Indian Passport of the Sponsor

    • Copy of Visas obtained in the last 12 months by the Sponsor

    • Certificate from the local embassy stating that the Sponsor is an NRI/ OCI or PIO Card

    • An affidavit by the sponsor indicating the interest shown in the education affairs of the student and willingness to fund the education of student over the next 5 years.
