Syllabus for BVP BUMAT 2019 

Level: The questions in the examination are based on the subjects of 10+2 level.

Subjects: The examination involves a thorough knowledge of English and Mathematics that is taught at the 10+2 level. The syllabus for BUMAT is as follows;

Numerical Aptitude:

  • His/her ability to work out the basic numerical problems and simple statistical numerical.

  • Carry out various problems on ratio and proportion.

  • Assess the candidate’s knowledge of fundamental mathematical formulas.

  • Test their speed and accuracy. Ability to interpret -graphs and charts and other forms of data interpretation etc.

Level of study: 10+2/SSC/SSLC


Logical/reasoning aptitude:

  • Coding - decoding

  • symbols and notations

  • Number and letter patterns and series

  • Number and Letter analogies

  • Analytical puzzles

  • Cubes, clock, calendars, logical sequence, logical matching, etc.


Verbal ability:

  • Grammar (tenses, voice, speech etc.)

  • Vocabulary

  • Synonyms (similar meanings) and antonyms (opposite meanings)

  • Sentence correction and completion

  • Homonyms

  • Use of appropriate words

  • Idioms and phrases

  • Prepositions

  • Use of articles etc.
