AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification:

    • B.Pharm: The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology/ Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Mathematics as a mandatory subject with minimum 45% marks for General/ OBC category candidates and minimum 35% marks for SC/ ST category candidates.

    • The candidates must have secured a minimum of 35% marks in English for all category students.

    • B.Pharm (Lateral Entry): The candidates must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) with a minimum of 50% marks from Annamalai University or an equivalent university.

    • M.Pharm: The candidate must have passed B.Pharm with a minimum of 50% marks from Annamalai University or an equivalent university.

    • D.Pharm: The candidates must have passed HSC examination with Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology/ Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Mathematics as a mandatory subject.

  • Age limit: The candidates should be 17 years of age as on 31-12-2019.

  • Nationality: The candidates should be a citizen of India.

  • NRI Candidates: Overseas citizens of India are eligible to apply if registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).

  • Availability: The Application Form is available in three ways: Postal, Administrative Office (Cash Counter), Online.

  • Postal: Candidates must send a letter requesting for Application Form along with a DD of INR 300

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 Results

  • Results: Annamalai University exam result 2019 will be declared on the official website for all the candidates on 12th August 2019.

  • Normalization:

    • Normalization of marks in AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 for courses like B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy will be done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the relevant subjects in qualifying examination conducted by various boards and authorities.

    • The marks obtained in the qualifying examination conducted by various boards and authorities will be equated with the qualifying examination conducted by State Board of Tamil Nadu.

  • Ranking:

    • Ranking will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the science subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different boards will be taken into account after normalization.

    • Ranking will be done on the basis of total marks obtained in science subjects after normalization of marks computed to a maximum of 200.

  • Merit List: Merit list for both B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy will be available on the official website of Annamalai University. The Merit List will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Annamalai University distance education exam time table 2019 will also be released during the same phase.

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 Counselling

  • Counselling: Soon after the Annamalai University exam result is declared, candidates who have cleared the AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2019 will be called for the counselling process which will be held on 20th August 2019.

  • Counselling Call Letter: Candidates must download the counselling call letter from the official website. Candidates are sent an individual SMS confirming the counselling call letter’s announcement on the official website. Carrying the Annamalai University exam hall ticket along with you is advised.

  • Counselling Fee: 

    • For B.Pharmacy the general category candidates must pay INR 2000 and For D.Pharmacy INR 500

    • For B.Pharmacy the SC/ SCA/ ST candidates must pay INR 500 and For D.Pharmacy INR 250

Eligibility Criteria

B. Pharm

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  • He/ She must be of 17 years on or before 31st December 2019 to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  • The candidate must have passed in all the subjects in class 10th and 12th with minimum eligibility marks.
  • The mandatory subjects are a group of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology or Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any other subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria.
  • The minimum eligibility marks required in class 12th are as follows:
  • For OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC candidates- the minimum eligibility is of 35%marks individually in all subjects and an aggregate of minimum 40% marks.
  • For SC / SCA / ST candidates- the minimum eligibility is of 35%marks individually in all subjects and an aggregate of minimum 35% marks.
  • A minimum of 35% marks in English is the eligibility condition.
  • Candidates who belong to Tamil Nadu and have passed Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII from Tamil Nadu can apply without providing the "Nativity Certificate" to satisfy the eligibility condition.
  • However, Nativity Certificate is mandatory in the case of candidates who have passed Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu to cover-up the eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates, whose parents are employees of Central Government can apply without any nativity certificate, provided their parents or guardians (if neither parent is alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu for the past 5 years at the time of application submission.
  • Candidates who have studied Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in Tamil Nadu but belong to other states can also apply without enclosing the "Nativity Certificate" to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
  • Children of employees in Public Sector or Government recognized Institutions who have been employed in Tamil Nadu for the past five years at the time of the submission of application can also apply, regardless of their domicile.

B. Pharm (Lateral Entry)

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India to cover-up the eligibility condition.
  • He/ She must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2019 to satisfy the eligibility condition.
  • The candidate must be a diploma holder in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) from Annamalai University or an equivalent recognized University.
  • The candidate must have secured an aggregate of minimum 50% marks in first and second-year examinations of D. Pharm.
  • Foreign nationals are eligible to apply, provided they should be registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).

D. Pharm

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India to cover-up the eligibility condition.
  • The candidate must be 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2019.
  • Foreign nationals are eligible to apply, provided they should be registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).
  • The candidate must have passed class12th with Physics and Chemistry, along with Biology (or) Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics.
  • Candidates with a B.Sc. Degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics are also eligible.

M. Pharm


  • Must have a degree from Annamalai University or an equivalent university in B. Pharm with minimum 50% marks.
  • Belonging to SC/SCA/ST category can only have passing marks in B. Pharm course to satisfy the eligibility condition.
  • Must be `17 years of age on or before 31st December 2019 to cover-up the eligibility condition.
  • Must have passed class 12th with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology or Botany and Zoology as optional.
  • Those candidates who have qualified D. Pharm from a Pharmacy Council of India approved institution are also eligible.
  • Those candidates who belong to other states (apart from Tamil Nadu) can apply under open competition, which means they will be given privilege only after the seats get filled by the Tamil Nadu candidates.
