Dibrugarh University conducts the entrance exam, Assam Common Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) as a selection process of the candidates to get admissions in undergraduate engineering courses.
The Assam CEE 2019 will help the candidates in securing admissions in affiliated Engineering college and private institutions as well. Candidates can get enrolled in B.E and B. Tech courses.

Candidate should be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam.
It is mandatory for the candidate to have spent a minimum of 20 years.
Candidate's parents who are working as an officer of All India Services working in Assam are exempted from this condition.
Candidate's parents who are transferred out of Assam will get a relaxation based on the period of time they were living outside of Assam.
Candidate should be between the age 17 and 21 on 1 August 2019.
Candidates who belong to SC and ST categories, there is a relaxation in the age criteria up to 1 year.
Candidates should have secured at least a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination. The qualifying marks for candidates who belong to SC category is 45% and those who belong to ST category is 40%.
Candidates should have had Physics, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics subjects in the qualifying examination.

It is important to note that the email address and the phone number should be valid, belonging to the candidate since most of the communication happens through the registered contact information.
Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature in the Assam CEE 2019 Application Form.
The photograph should be of a recent one and clear. Candidates are not supposed to wear sunglasses, caps, or any other accessories that will cover up the face.
The photograph and signature should be in the specified formats, dimensions, and file sizes.
After filling in the necessary information and uploading the documents, candidates can pay the application fee online as well as offline.
For online payment, candidates can use Netbank, or Credit Card, or Debit Card.
For offline payment, candidates are supposed to take a printout of the State Bank's challan and submit the required amount of fee in the nearest branch of State Bank of India.
It is mandatory that the candidate should deposit the money within 7 days of filling up the application form.
Candidates can check their payment status in the applicant's login menu using his/her login credentials.

Login Credentials: Once the candidates register for the exam, he/she will receive an email notification that has the login credentials. Candidates are not supposed to disclose the credentials to anyone and those credentials help the candidates to access the applicant's login.
Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 600.
Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay the application fee either online or offline
Online Payment: In case the candidates want to pay the application fee of Rs. 600 online, they can use either of the options Net banking or Credit Card or Debit Card and pay the fee.
Offline Payment: In case the candidates want to pay using the offline mode, they are required to drop a State Bank Callan for the required amount at the nearest State Bank branch. Candidates are required to pay the application fee within 7 days from filling in the application form and submitting it.
The status of the payment will be reflected in the applicant's login, which the candidates have to use the login credentials to check. There isn't any relaxation with respect to the application fee, all the candidates irrespective of the categories they belong to should pay the application fee of Rs. 600.
Note: It is important for the candidates to save the payment receipt that will be displayed on the screen and the payment receipt given by the bank for future references.
Candidates are requested to upload a couple of documents while filling in the application form. Candidates cannot submit the application form without uploading the document. There is not an alternative to skip it but to only upload the document. The conducting authority has set some parameters to upload the documents, the documents are supposed to fall in these criteria; if not, the documents will not be uploaded.
Candidate's Photograph: The size of the photograph should be less than 100 KB, that is if the photograph is more than the file size it will not be uploaded. The dimensions of the photograph are height - 250*300 pixels and width - 150*220 pixels. The format of the file should be JPEG.
Candidate's Signature: The dimensions of the signature should be: Height - 100*180 pixels and width - 150*220 pixels. The size of the signature should be less than 100 KB. The format of the file should be JPEG. The signature will not be uploaded if they are not in the specified details.

The duration of the exam is 180 minutes (3 hours). Dibrugarh University of Assam conducts the exam in an offline mode and the candidates are required to answer 120 multiple choice questions.
The question paper comprises of three sections, each section dedicated to Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
Each section contains 40 questions and the marks allotted for each section is 160.
The total number of marks amounts to 480. There will be negative marking and each incorrect response will deduct 1 mark from the candidate's secured marks.
Each question has 4 choices of answers but only one will be the correct answer.
It is to be noted that the number of questions is liable to change every year by the conducting authority Dibrugarh University.
The admit card will be issued online; on the official website. The candidates who successfully register for the exam and are eligible to appear for the exam will receive the admit card on the applicant's login. It is speculated that the candidates will receive their admit cards during the month of April 2019.
Candidates are required to check their details imprinted on the admit cards, such as their name, age, date of birth, and other important details. If there is any discrepancy, the candidates have to report it to the concerning members to get it sorted.
Candidates are supposed to download and take a few copies of the admit card and preserve it until the counselling and admission processes end.
The Assam CEE 2019 Admit Card is a mandatory document that the candidates are required to bring it to the Exam Centre on the exam day' failing which the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the exam. The candidates are supposed to bring a valid government id for verification purposes.

Step 1: Candidates who have secured a place in the merit list are supposed to fill in the Form B and send the required documents to the conducting authority. In Form B, candidates are required to select 3 choices with respect to the course and the college.
Step 2: The documents will be verified by the authorities and if the documents are genuine, the candidates will be invited for a face to face interview.
