Some institutes like AIIMS and PGIMER used to conduct their separate examinations but from 2020-21 onwards they will also allow admission to those aspirants who qualified MCC NEET UG.

MCC NEET UG 2021 Important Dates

MCC NEET UG Result 2020

NEET declared the result within 15 days of the examination. As the result is declared, students will also get to know more about the cut off marks. Aspirants may check their result from the official website by using their login details.

How to check the MCC NEET UG Result?

The steps to check and download the MCC NEET UG 2020 result have been given below.

  • Visit the official website of MCC NEET UG 2020.
  • Find and click on the tab that says "MCC NEET UG 2020 Result".
  • Enter your roll number, birth date, security pin on the MCC NEET UG login page and submit the details.
  • The MCC NEET UG 2020 result will be presented on the candidate's screen.
  • Check and download the MCC NEET UG result.
  • Take a printout of the same for future reference.

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2020

NEET counselling was conducted in two types. 15% of the seats were reserved for the government medical colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, DU and other central institutions and the rest 85% seats were reserved for the private colleges. Only those aspirants were eligible for the counselling who had been qualified NEET entrance exam.

Step by step process of MCC NEET Counselling

The registrations for the first round of the MCC NEET UG 2020 counselling started on October 28, 2020. Earlier, the registration process for counselling was to commence on October 27, 2020, but the authorities postponed it due to technical difficulties.

Shortlisted candidates sat for the MCC NEET UG counselling process. Candidates were required to register for the counselling process separately. Although the counselling process has finished, we've provided the steps for the MCC NEET UG counselling registration below.

Step 1: Registration for counselling

  • Register for the NEET counselling by the visiting official website.
  • Click on candidate login.
  • Now the student is supposed to enter roll number and the password.
  • Now the aspirant is supposed to fill their details like name, registration number, contact details etc.
  • Now the student is supposed to click on “confirm registration”. After clicking that, now the candidate is registered.

Step 2: Fee payment

After the registration, you will need to fill the fee. The fee is different for the various category which is mentioned below:

  • General
    • INR 1,000 for the central government college, INR 5,000/- for the deemed university (non-refundable registration fee)
    • INR 10,000 for the central government college, INR 2,00,000/- for the deemed university (refundable tuition fee)
  • OBC/SC/ST:
    • INR 5,00 for the central government college, INR 5,000/- for the deemed university (non-refundable registration fee)
    • INR 5,000 for the central government college, INR 2,00,000/- for the deemed university (refundable tuition fee)

Step 3: Choice Locking

Once the registration is done, then the aspirants are supposed to fill the preferred course along with their college by preferences.

  • Aspirants should enter the course.
  • Now the aspirants should choose the college from the list which will be reflected on the official website.
  • For the aspirants, there is no number bar for the choice list.
  • Once the colleges are added, now aspirants can set the college list by ranking from up to down.
  • The aspirants can delete the choice also if they want to remove anyone and can change the order too.
  • If the aspirants do not lock their preferred college within the time then they will be assigned to the college automatically.

Step 4: Seat Allotment 

Once the colleges are filled by the time then MCC declares the seats with the respected college.

  • At the end of each round of counselling, the result for seat allotment will be declared accordingly.
  • MCC releases the allotment number along with the allotment letter.
  • Aspirants can check their allotment details by visiting the official website.
  • The aspirants are supposed to take a print out of the allotment number which will be used in admission time.

Step 5: College Reporting

Once the college is allotted to the aspirants, they are supposed to visit the college on the given date positively. They must have all the documents along with allotment number, ID proof, and caste certificate if needed.

MCC NEET UG Seat Matrix 2020

In MCC NEET-UG, 15% of the seats are reserved for the government medical colleges like AIIMS, JIPMER, DU and other central institutions and the rest 85% seats are reserved for the private colleges. After filling the college preferences, MCC declares the seat allotment based on the student’s rank. There are a total 63,800 seats for the students of MBBS and BDS.

  • Based on the student’s performance and the marks, NTA finalizes the merit list of all the students.
  • The cut off is released by every college.
  • The aspirants can take admission according to their filled college in counselling form and based on their respective rank which is set by various institutes.
  • Aspirant’s result will be valid for across India to get admission over there.
