AIIMS PG Application Process

AIIMS PG is conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi under the regulation of AIIMS Act, 1999. Candidate has to rank good to get admission in top colleges of MD/ MS/ MDS. But before that candidate has to fill the AIIMS PG Application Form carefully. If the candidate has a very good rank, and the information provided by the candidate is incorrect, then AIIMS will not allow the candidate for counselling for any courses. So, before starting registration carefully read the instructions first.

How to Fill the AIIMS PG Application Form?

At first, make sure that you have a good internet connection. Then go through steps given below:

  • Open official website of AIIMS PG in your browser i.e.

  • If you have already registered login with the ID and Password if not click on 'Click Here' in the New Registration section to register a new user.

Step 1:

  • Registration: Before starting AIIMS 2020 Registration read all the instructions provided at the first page of the registration process to have an idea about how to fill the Application Form. After reading the instruction click on "Proceed" button to proceed further.

  • The applicant has to fill correct basic details like Full Name, DOB, Category, Gender, Email, Contact No. etc. subsequently to get Login credentials. Wrong information may lead to rejection of AIIMS PG Application form. After entering all details asked in the registration form, click on "Register" button.

  • After completion of Step 1 of Application, Applicant will get SMS and Email intimating about Login Credentials (it does not receive If SMS or Email, call AIIMS on Toll-Free Number: 1800117898 immediately). In the SMS and Email candidate will get login credentials.

  • Login with the credentials provided and change password on the first-time login. Password Length should be between 6-10 characters. Please remember the password and do not share it with others.

  • After completion of Step 1 of the Application process, ‘My Page’ will be generated for each applicant bearing his/her entire information filled by him/her. ‘My Page’ will provide information regarding Due Steps which should be completed before the closing date, Admit Card & Result.

Step 2

  • Upload Images: Applicant is required to upload a recently taken digital/scanned Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression in JPG/ JPEG/ PNG format.

  • The digital size of the Photograph file must be between 50 KB-100 KB and digital size of Signature and Left Thumb Impression file must be between 20 KB-100 KB, failing which applicant will not be able to upload images and complete Application process.

  • The photograph to be uploaded must be taken within 6 months from the online Application opening date.

  • Basic Registration shall be screened and if found in order, including uploaded images, Basic Registration will be accepted. If Rejected, the deficiencies can be corrected. 

  • Only those applications where the Basic Registration is accepted can proceed for Final Registration (Steps 3-6).

  • Once accepted the Basic Registration will be stored and the Applicant can continue with Final Registration in the future.

  • Please check your Email & Status dates for every Entrance Examination. Since rejected Basic Registrants will not be able to apply for Final Registration.

  • Please remember your ID & Password for future use.

Step 3

  • Qualification & Address details: Fill correct Qualification & Address details like Qualifying Examination Name, Status etc. and also fill Address details properly.

Step 4

  • Fee Payment: Payment of Application Fee can be done only online through Debit Card/ Credit Card and Net Banking.

  • After successful payment of Application fee, take a printout of payment receipt bearing Unique Registration Number which can be used for future correspondence.

Step 5

  • City Choice: Select Examination City from available City list carefully. City availability list shows the real-time status of seats in a city. The city once selected cannot be changed later. Only AIIMS can change the AIIMS PG centre location, if necessary.

Step 6

  • Print Application Form: Applicant must take a print of Application form and must check all information filled in the Application form carefully before final submission of the Application form. After submission of Application Form, no request for correction/changes will be entertained. Taking the print of Application Form is essential.

  • Applicants do not need to send a hard copy of Application Form or any other document to Examination Section, AIIMS. Always keep Basic Registration and Final Registration form and payment receipt with you for future references. Those registration forms and receipt may be required at the time of admission.

  • No written acknowledgement will be issued for the receipt of the application. However, the applicant can verify Application completion status on after submission by the login. If any discrepancy is found, call on AIIMS Toll-Free Number: 1800117898

No documents are required to be uploaded during the Online Registration /Application process, but you have to UPLOAD images of your Photograph, left thumb impression and signature at the time of registration.


How does one apply for the AIIMS PG Entrance Examination July 2017 Session?

  • The Application can only be made Online.
  • Printed Application Forms are not available.
  • You must have a valid email ID and a mobile number.
  • Visit AIIMS website
  • The candidate is required to go through the prospectus carefully and acquaint himself / herself with all requirements with regard to filling in of the online application form.
  • For making payment through Credit/Debit Card, follow the instructions given in the Prospectus. 
  • No candidate should register more than one application.
