Importance of Educational Courses in India

  • Having educational courses will help the teachers get a hold of the subject or know more about the subject and impart the knowledge to the students through better techniques. 

  • The main objective of a teacher is to help students in the development of a skill and make this process more acceptable through a student's point of view. In order to do this, the teachers also have to develop certain pedagogics skills that will help them achieve this in an efficient manner which can be learned through educational courses.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) 

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is the course which comprises to learn the art of teaching at secondary and senior secondary level. It is usually pursued by lower to middle-class average students having interest in teaching and related field.

Admission Procedure for B.Ed

  • Candidate to earn a B.Ed. degree have to take up and entrance exam conducted by the recognized board of India.

  • Application forms can be submitted online to university from the official website or can be directly through institutions.

  • General English, teaching aptitude, general awareness, and logical and analytical reasoning are the few areas in which the candidates are tested.

  • No age criterion to appear for the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Ed

  • The minimum qualification required for B.Ed. is graduation in any of the subjects from a recognized university with 50% marks.

  • The course fee for regular classes varies from 20,000 - 70,000 pa depending on the college and mode of education.

  • Admission to the B.Ed. colleges depend on the marks scored in the entrance exam

  • M.Ed is a postgraduate academic master degree course of 2 years duration with 2 semesters. The minimum period for the passing course is 2 years and maximum 4 years. It involves instruction, counseling, and administration. It is especially for educators preferring to have advanced skills in the field.

  • The course is offered at most of the district institute of education and training (DIET) centers throughout India. The institutions are recognized by National Council of Teacher Education, New Delhi.

  • DIET is a government body in charge to implement the teacher education program. Educational research, social and psychological foundation of the discipline are provided in the program.
