Tata Institute of Social Science [TISS], Mumbai was established in the year of 1936 and was named as Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work.

Industrial and automative supplier Schaeffler India has partenered with TISS to implemenr a National University Student's Skill Development (NUSSD) programme for providing skill training to 350 graduating students from three colleges in Vadodra in Gujarat.
