Anna University, School of Architecture and Planning is one of the four autonomous institutions under Anna University. The School is located in Guindy, Chennai. The School was established in 1957 as Department of Architecture and was initially located in Alagappa College of Technology before shifting to its present location. Anna University, School of Architecture and Planning is approved by All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE]. SAP [School of Architecture and Planning] is affiliated to Anna University.
Anna University, School of Architecture and Planning currently offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Architecture and postgraduate program in Planning. Currently, the Dean of the School is Dr.Moonsigh David Devadas. The School provides quality education and interactive learning through its unique student design projects, student exchange programs, guest lectures, student seminars, etc. Furthermore, the school has produced distinguished alumni who are spread across India and other countries.
The School has a QIP [Quality Improvement Program] Cell that provides research facilities to students, teachers and other architectural Institutions. QIP also provides admission for the postgraduate and Ph.D. courses.
