The daily routine is good. The method of teaching is excellent and this college is among the most disciplined colleges in Mumbai. Overall experience has been great.

NCC, NSS, WDC, NISARG are some of the societies and clubs in the college. Each department conducts its own inter-college or intra-college events. Gyan Manthan is the Royal College's fest.

Class starts at  7:30 am to 12:00 pm. Assignments and projects are given regularly. Quality of teaching is good. Lectures are well experienced. Overall experience is good.

There are many societies like Core Committee, Commerce society, NCC, NSS, SDRs, Vigilance Body, etc. Many festivals are celebrated in this college. Life is good in this college.

  • For graduate students, class timings are from 7AM to 12.15PM at Royal College of Science, Arts and Commerce, Mumbai.
  • Various project several exams and all lectures are being conducted in this college.
  • Teachers are very helpful and intelligent, approach to students is really good.
  • Overall experience makes me study and is good .

  • There are really few student societies and clubs to join but college festival is really large which includes lots of competition and annual function.
  • Teachers are also part of these clubs so they are there to guide you.
  • Every subject has its own club and NCC caded is also there at Royal College of Science, Arts and Commerce, Mumbai.

Studies in the college are decent and emphasis is laid on academic scoring strongly. The syllabus is molded in such a way that it is convenient for the students as well. The faculty is efficient and experienced.

Their is no foreign exchange program as such in the college.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
The college has a lots of clubs and associations to help its students grow and nurture. Most of these clubs are subject based but their events are not so thus increasing the space more interaction.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE
The social atmosphere of the college is excellent. Interaction amoung the students is very good and the exposure to various culture is outstanding.

About Royal College of Science, Arts and Commerce, Mumbai

The society was founded on 28th December,1966 by Asgar E. Lakdawala, a poor S.S.C student at that time. He gathered together, a very small group of young boys, each of whom hailing from a poor family and had a spirit of service, sacrifice, friendship & understanding. The sole mission of a group was Educational upliftment of poor & needy students of Bohra Community; since 1966, year after year, more and more benefactors from Bohra Community realised the importance of the mission set by the founder & today, there are about 600 life members & patron members who are patronising the mission of the society. Basically the society aims at the education of the Bohra & non-Bohra Muslim community & extends its facilities to other communities.

Action So Far

Over the years, since the inception in 1966, the society has strived hard to provide atleast the basic needs of education so that underprivileged class of students can also take necessary education without an extra burden on the day to day expenses of their poor parents.

Every year, about 3000 needy students are benefited by our various schemes, we provide………….

  • School fees, College fees, Books, Uniforms & Stationery to the poor students from  pre-primary to higher education.

  • Royal Educational Adoption Plan (REAP) under which needy students are adopted for financial aid to acquire desired qualification.

The  College

In 1989, the society established a full-fledged Degree college imparting education in Arts -Science-Commerce and Management Streams. It is a Minority Institution which aims at the education of the minority community & extends its faculties & services to other communities also.

The plot admeasuring  about 10,000 sq. mt. was generously donated by the four partners of Shrishti Housing complex namely Late Mr.Ismail M.Kanga, Mr.Mafatraj P. Munot, Mr.K.M.Goenka & Mr.Niranjanlal Dalmia.

Royal Society of Bombay with the help of GENEROSITY of philanthropists from Bohra community has spent more than Rs.15.50  crores to give the present shape to the Educational campus. 

Vision

To be recognized as a Minority educational institution par excellence having secular outlook, imparting value based education to the youth, to mould them into disciplined, conscientious citizens of the society who would contribute to the social, economical and cultural growth of the society.

  • To provide holistic academic programmes and an inspiring learning environment.

  • To contribute to personal, professional and social growth of students, belonging to minority community thereby enhancing the economic growth of the minority community with special emphasis on girls’ education.

  • To extend its facilities to other communities within the framework of the constitution of India

Infrastructure

Building has five floors of which ground floor and upper 3 floors are used for the college. The College has spacious classrooms, staff rooms, well-equipped laboratories, a sprawling library and a comfortable administrative office.

The College has an inspirational student charter put in the entrance.

The Gymkhana has facilities for playing table tennis, carrom and chess. The College ground has:

  • A full size concretized basketball court.

  • Two volleyball courts, which are also used for handball.

  • One badminton


Placement Cell

Placement cell  maintains portals of all TY students with regular updation. It organizes career guidance lectures, coordinates with the placement departments of various organizations and arranges for campus interviews .

Rules for Admission

  1. Right of admission is reserved by the Principal.
  2. Students who have passed their S.S.C. or equivalent examination privately, will not be admitted to this College.
  3. A student seeking admission to the college shall present himself/herself with an application in the prescribed from duly filled in and signed by him/her and by his/her parents/guardian for an interview before the admission committee.
  4. No admission shall be regarded as duly granted unless it is granted by the authority of the Principal.
  5. All admissions are valid only for one academic year/one semester and are required to be renewed by application in the prescribed form every subsequent year/semester of the study in the college.
  6. Once a student is admitted to the college, he /she shall be liable to pay fees as prescribed. Fees will be accepted in cash only.
  7. All admissions are provisional until all the necessary Original Certificates are submitted to the college and the admission is confirmed by Board / University.
  8. Undertaking: All students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of being a member of the College community. Such conduct is based on respect for the dignity and rights of individuals, respect for public and personal property, and personal and academic honesty. The behavior of students outside the campus also affects the prestige of the institution and hence will be taken note of. At the time of admission, every student shall sign a declaration, on his/her admission form, that he/she will abide by all rules and regulations and accept the decision of the Principal, in all matters, as final.
  9. Ragging of whatever kind, is strictly forbidden and will result in Dismissal of the concerned student, even if the act is committed outside the college campus. As per Supreme Court order dated May 2007, the College authorities may also have to file an F.I.R with the police.

FOR FIRST YEAR DEGREE COLLEGE

While taking admission to F.Y.B.A./B.Sc/B.Com/B.M.S./B.A.F. class,students must submit the following documents.

  1. Duly completed Admission form with 1 Passport size colour Photograph and 1 colour photograph (Size 3cm x 2.5cm) for Identity card.
  2. Original marksheet of the H.S.C. (XII STD) Examination along with two attested Xerox copies.
  3. Original College Leaving Certificate with two attested Xerox copies. N.B. : At the time of admission itself Original L.C. will be returned back to the students after verification.
  4. Online Enrollment Form of the University of Mumbai.
  5. At the time of admission itself, original L.C. will be returned back to the student after verification.

STUDENTS COMING FROM OTHER STATES (Degree College )

For students coming from other states or those who have passed examination other than those conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, the following Original documents are required at the time of admission.

  1. Marksheet
  2. College Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate of the institution last attended by the student.
  3. Migration Certificate & Passing Certificate as early as possible to confirm his/her Admission.

NOTE :

  1. Please note that procedure for obtaining Provisional Eligibility Certificate will be done by the College office.
  2. If the Eligibility Procedure is not completed then result of such student will not be declared as per the University Rule.
