  • Various Technological Chapters(International and National, for example IEEE-VIT, CSI, IETE, ACM etc) and various co-curricular clubs(for example VIT Dance,Drama,Music Societies etc) are just some of the advantages of joining VIT as it not only focuses on the academic front but all round development in all aspects.

HOSTELS & FOOD
5/10
  • The only point which lags in case of VIT is its housing and food.
  • Though there are a large hostel campus and many rooms available on sharing as well as a personal basis, the rooms having common washrooms for a common floor are not so good.
  • Hygiene is a concern too and thus food isn't up to the mark.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION

  • 500 Acres campus with smart classrooms and 6 large auditoriums make the campus huge and lavish.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE
7/10
  • The social atmosphere is a little restrictive by the college but I see that change is coming and things could improve a lot here.
  • Rules are still a little too stringent but then again we do have a lot of offenders out here.
  • The management has a zero tolerance policy for offenders which is impressive. But with being not at all tolerant to brash behaviour they do restrict a lot of social interactions that could happen here on campus.
  • The management will have to tactfully make things liberal out here.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
8/10
  • The popular clubs here are the debate club, dance club, music club, dramatics club and the quizzing club.
  • The technical clubs still have a lot to catch up on but it's a good start for college that's just 5 years old.

HOSTELS & FOOD
8/10
  • The hostels here are amazing! Mostly because they are new and they give a lot of amenities.
  • AC rooms are available and water shortage (which is a rampant issue here in Tamil Nadu) isn't an issue for the hostellers. Food is a primary issue here in the hostel. We've had issues with the mess authorities.
  • An action does take place regularly, but as a hosteller incidents of the food issues shouldn't be taking place at all.
  • I would give the hostel a 9/10. The food I'd give 7/10. So on a whole, an 8 would suffice.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION
8/10
  • Again, since college is relatively new the infrastructure is still upcoming.
  • But it's really promising and the college could improve a lot of the standards as set in VIT Vellore.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK
9/10
  • Placements here are really good.
  • A lot of top companies come here for placements and we've seen a few stellar job profiles too on the campus.
  • Otherwise, also we have mass recruitment drives by companies like TCS, Accenture, Cognizant.

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP
8/10
  • The college does give scholarships to students who are economically not well off and allows sanctioning of financial help if deemed as needed.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE
7/10
  • Being a relatively new college we are gaining exposure to international universities.
  • We have MoU's with universities in Ireland and South Korea.
  • Also, there are a few Chinese students who come here for the semester abroad program scheme.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
8/10
  • Faculty and academics are good over here.
  • They are supportive and the quality of education definitely has a standard here.
  • The college just went for ABET accreditation and is still undergoing the whole accreditation process.
  • Hopefully, the college will get accredited as it will be a benefit for students who aspire to go abroad for further studies.
  • Further, our faculties drive us to put up projects every semester in every subject that we take up.
  • So it is a learning experience when you put efforts towards your projects.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE
7/10
  • The social atmosphere is not as expected as that how a college should be, many restrictions, but you can live your way through it.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
6/10
  • There are good clubs, and the exposure is good too.

HOSTELS & FOOD
3/10
  • The hostel room allocating system is not appropriate.
  • There is a lot of politics, and the hostel food isn't great either.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION
7/10
  • The infrastructure is brilliant!

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP
5/10
  • Well, the course fees are quite high.
  • Scholarships are provided only for the top rankers.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE
7/10
  • There is a quite a huge exposure, there are international clients and teams visiting now and there, for events and other reasons.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
8/10
  • The Academics and Faculty is good, there are a few exceptions, though.
  • There are some very dedicated teachers and well there are a few, quite the opposite. Academically it's good too, we have a 3 quizzes and 2 cumulative exams conducted every semester, apart from the term ends.
  • So that way we are a little read to give our finals, in a prepared manner.
