Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electronics & Communication Engineering), batch of 2017
Admissions
  • 60℅ and above is needed in 12th standard. The level of entrance exam is good enough.
  • IPU CET is the individual entrance test for admission. It is pretty tough to get in here.
  • The cutoffs are highest for computer science followed by electronics and then IT.

Societies & Associations 3/10
  • Only dramatics and few dance societies. Anugoonj is the main cultural fest, it's a GRAND EVENT, Perhaps the best in DELHI.
  • INFOX is tech fest, it's horrible.
  • Life in college is fun filled but academically it's awful for electronics people, for others it is great.
College Infrastructure 7/10
  • 3 hostels ( 2 for boys and 1 for girls). Hostels are great and fee is Rs 50000 annually.
  • Quality of food in college is great, the canteen is awesome and spacious, the rates of food are very reasonable, somewhere around Rs 35 for a thaali.
  • Quality of classrooms is great, huge library, 2 GB data per day for a student. Wifi speed is blazing fast. Overall infrastructure is awesome.
Placements & Internships 3/10
  • The placements as far as electronics and communication branch is concerned is ZERO ! NO EXPOSURE IN TERMS OF INDUSTRIAL TRAINING.
  • No core companies visit the campus and majority of ECE students are not placed. The major recruiter is TCS which offers Rs 3.3 LPA that too for IT AND COMPUTER SCIENCE STUDENTS. This college's rank is 1 in all the IP COLLEGES BUT it's not a good college. So, I would advise any fresher to think twice before opting for electronics and communication engineering in USICT.
  • The alumni network is zero.
Fees and Scholarship 9/10
  • The annual fee is around Rs 50000, which is decent enough.
  • Scholarship is awarded to BPL students who are meritorious i.e. toppers of the respective branches. 2
  • 2-3 students get full fee reimbursement in every branch. Indian bank provides
  • Indian bank provides loan if needed at all.
Academics & Faculty 2/10
  • Schedule is hectic but no one gives a dime.

  • The quality of professors is zero and they are a waste of time and effort.

  • Overall experience is not good as far as academics and placements are concerned but the campus is beautiful ,green and peaceful. Its huge as well ,located in Dwarka, quite secluded a place,it is !

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering), batch of 2016
Social Atmosphere 7/10
The overall atmosphere in the campus is very lively with beautiful girls hanging around with not-so-beautiful guys and the more handsome guys lingering around single (that’s the scenario everywhere, wonder what these girls are up to!) Talking about USIT in particular, the girls complain of the guys being slightly mean and unsophisticated, but when it’s mass bunk or submission time or everyone gets along pretty well. Most of the students are Delhi-ites leaving aside a few exceptions from here and there.
College Infrastructure 5/10
The campus is a huge one with lots of open areas, refreshing gardens and sports facilities underway. The hostels are also in the pipeline and will be opened to the students by this academic year. However, there is a lack of proper parking space and the students are required to park their cars under the hot sun which turns their cars into furnaces during the summers. The library is common to all departments; it’s a two storey structure with enough space which, however, hasn’t been utilised appropriately and there are few places to sit and read books. There is wired internet connectivity in all the classrooms and labs and a fully Wi-Fi campus has been promised in the near future. All in all there has been an overall improvement in the infrastructure as compared to the old campus, but it does feel like you're in a university.
Placements & Internships 6/10
Average salaries come to around Rs. 4L a year, nothing great, most of the other engineering colleges manage to place students with nearly the same packages. TCS is the major recruiter there, and TCS is the major recruiter here! Microsoft, Google and Adobe do visit the campus but they just pick up a handful of lucky, (rather talented) chaps.
Academics & Faculty 6/10
Most of the teachers are senior and experienced but the students have the opinion that they aren’t as good as they had hoped. There’s a little hype about these University Schools. Complaints about many professors being lazy and uninterested in teaching were have been received from the students. There’s too much of freedom during the entire semester and in the end the students are expected to learn by themselves. However, a few teachers are quite helpful and supportive of the students.
