There are 20 hostels are located in the university, fee is 500 per semester. Food is average. Totally Ac classrooms, wifi service is 24/7.

Academics & Faculty 10/10

For every subjects there are 2 hour classes per day. Method of teaching is awesome. Excellent.

Fees and Scholarship 10/10

The course fee is INR 10k per year. There is state government funding scholarship available and the university provides INR 2k per month. All the registered students gets fellowship. No loans are needed.

Placements & Internships 10/10

Did 1 year internship program in the same university. There are ample number of opportunities for this course. Salary will be INR 30-1lakh per month. It was great to be part of alumini in this university.


The eligibility criteria for the course of linguistics is a bachelor's in linguistics/languages. I took university entrance exam. The cutoffs for this course is 35 out of 100.

There are many student societies like ASA,abvp, BSP, Sukoon, sports cultural many festivals are annually done here. life in college is so better compared to other, it is based on self-respect of students.

College Infrastructure 5/10

There are 20 hostels, hostel fee is based on the reservation for general candidates they take 500 per semester, for reserved category it is free of cost. In the outside of campus, they take a huge fee. The mess is somewhat good, every day 80 rupees not including specials. Everywhere there is Wi-Fi facility in campus, labs libraries, dining halls and other key infrastructure is good.

Academics & Faculty 5/10

Classes commence from early morning like 8:00 am, there are three minor exams out of they will take best of two and after this major will conducted, for every minor exam there will be one assignment. The faculty is excellent the method and quality of teaching are fantastic. My experience is assumed on the campus, I enjoyed a lot.

Fees and Scholarship 6/10

Per semester it will be 5000, There are many scholarships available like Kvpy, and more. Total students who get the scholarship per every batch is 10-12 members, no idea about loans.

Placements & Internships 7/10

I did CSDS internship, and the university will give 750 rupees per month. There are many key companies and roles, recently one brother from imsc earth science get placed highest package INR 65 lakhs, the average will be INR 10 lakhs per anum. Alumni is amazing.


The eligibility criteria for this course is intermediate, admission is strictly on merit based by conducting entrance exam,it is HCU common entrance test,for out of 100 marks they take cutoff based on reservation,for my side I secured 37.74 marks in entrance exam.

It is the politically vibrant campus. Sukoon is the most colorful festival. For me as an Individual it’s totally worth it, It helps you to grow academically as well as an Individual.

You will get a good hostel with low cost. Wi-fi system is also superb.

5 Hours is the maximum class timings. Faculties are very good you can feel the quality of teaching too.

We have students club. They conduct sports day and other fests. The life in college, in general, was fine.

We have hostel facilities and I don't know much about the PG's. Quality of Classrooms, Labs, Libraries, dining halls is good.

The quality and method of teaching are good. We have well-experienced faculties. The overall experience in college was good.

My course fee is INR 12,000 per semester. Social Welfare scholarship is available for the students. Educational loan is not required.

Placements & Internships 7/10

I haven't done any internship yet. I don't know much about the placement drive and companies participating in it. Alumni network is good.


Candidate must clear the JEE MAIN exam to get admission in this college.

Societies & Associations 7/10
  • There are student organizations present in the University of Hyderabad like ABVP, SFI NSUI, ASA etc.
  • There will be elections conducted every year to elect the student union which comprises president, vice president, general, joint and sports secretary. This body functions to solve the student problems and make a bridge between administration and student community.
  • Cultural events are conducted during the SUKOON. SUKOON is the three-day festival conducted by student union every year to refresh the student community and give them a great feeling in the university to do well in their academics.
  • There are sports events like cricket night cup and football and volleyball night cup conducted by the student union.
  • Life in university is very nice and satisfied and enjoyable.
College Infrastructure 7/10
  • 14 boys hostels and 8 girls hostels are there in the whole university at the University of Hyderabad. Hostels are in nice conditions and sophisticated with electricity in every room and water facility.
  • Hostel fee per semester(4 months) is Rs. 500.
  • The quality of food gives little disappointment. It's not up to the mark.
  • I hope that quality of food should be improved.
  • The quality of classroom and labs are very nice. All the other resources like libraries and dining hall internet facility, sports complex are nice.
Academics & Faculty 8/10
  • Classes in the University of Hyderabad starts from morning 9 am and ends at 5 pm.
  • If the student is doing a project in any lab, a lab will be open until 10 pm.
  • Assignments were given by professors frequently and will be evaluated.
  • In each subject, there will be three internal assessment tests out of which best two are taken to grade with the final exam marks. Each internal exam will have 20 marks. So best two internal exams carry 40 marks and the left 60 marks will be for a final exam.
  • Quality and method of teaching are very good as all the professors have great knowledge with excellent teaching skills and very helpful towards the students.
  • The resources that we get are very good.
  • Overall experience in college is very nice and interesting. I am truly satisfied with my college.
Fees and Scholarship 5/10
  • My course fee at University of Hyderabad per year is Rs. 5,200.
  • The scholarships that are available to the students are Telangana bc social welfare scholarship and Telangana sc/st social welfare scholarship and university fellowship.
  • In my course, around 50% of the students get anyone of this scholorship.
  • Loans are not needed to pay the fee of the course.

  • We can do an internship under any professor by contacting him/her personally at the University of Hyderabad.
  • But there will be no stipend given to the student from the university.
  • Some companies like Asian paints, pharmaceutical companies, and some private, educational institutions will come for hiring the students.
  • The averages salary will be Rs. 3 lakhs per annum.
  • The highest salary figure in placements is Rs. 3.5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students that will get placed in these companies is around 15% as many of the students prefer to do Ph.D.
  • To get into the University of Hyderabad I have written entrance exam conducted by the university of Hyderabad.
  • The eligibility criteria are to clear the entrance exam in science stream and passing the 12th with 60% of marks.
  • There were no cutoff marks for our course. As our university is a government funded university, it has selected the students by considering their performance in the entrance exam and caste and area from where they are.
  • The main aim of our course is to enhance the interest of students to proceed their future in a research field.

  • Alumni in college are placed in good companies.
  • Eligibility criteria for joining the University of Hyderabad, [UH] Hyderabad is clearing the CAT entrance examinations.
  • The cut-off is positively favorable to student side.

  • There are many student societies, clubs, and other groups on the campus and they promote a whole lot of causes and interests.
  • Sukoon is the main cultural event of the university, awaited by all the students.
  • The Life in college is truly beautiful here.
  • And trust me you will spend the best years of your life in here at UH Hyderabad.


College Infrastructure 10/10
  • There are 12 hostels for men and 8 for women, and there are constructions going on to assimilate more students into the campus.
  • Almost every student will be provided accommodation for a very nominal cost.
  • Hostels are equipped with internet connections, and the hostel messes run fine. Food in the canteens is subsidized too, so one can avail breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc for a really fair price.
  • All the classrooms, auditoriums, labs, library, reading room are equipped with wifi routers and decent wifi. Teachers are probably the best in the country at UH Hyderabad.
Fees and Scholarship 10/10
  • Being a university funded by the Central Government, the course fee is highly subsidized with only a fraction paid by the student.
  • For economically challenged students, a compulsory grant is provided by the university, every month at UH Hyderabad. 
Placements & Internships 7/10
  • There is a huge scope for students who have developed a flair for computational linguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive sciences, etc.
  • And, it is almost highly probably that they can venture abroad with their newly acquired traits to provide innumerable services to language studies.
  • For the mediocre minded, placements are attracted for posts in HR, proof-reading and copy-editing at UH Hyderabad.
  • The Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies (CALTS), UoH provides a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, which is a four-semester programme with 5 courses per semester.
  • The compulsory courses cover core linguistics subjects along with semantics, language teaching and testing, translation studies, lexicography, computational linguis­tics, historical linguistics, psycholinguistics, and sociolinguistics.
  • With an array of optional subjects to choose from, this degree equips the future linguist with a strong skillset to study languages all over the world.
  • The eligibility criteria for this course are a bachelor's degree is required from any UGC recognized college or university, with a minimum 50% aggregate, while 45% for reserved students.
  • Entrance examinations are held every year by June and the admission procedures commence from mid-July.

  • There are many clubs like Junior Science club, Shape Your Thought, Bol Hyderabad radio, Dramatic clubs etc.
  • SUKOON is the main festival. Job mela occurs during December.
  • Life is good. The environment is beautiful and eco-friendly. In this 2500acres campus many places are there for sight seeing. People are nice.
College Infrastructure 9/10
  • There are almost 22 hostels. Room rent is Rs 500/- per semester (6 months).
  • There are lots of PG around the area. Per month cost from Rs 1500 onwards.
  • Food is south Indian style. There is a north Indian mess also. Per day cost varies from Rs 50 to Rs 60 
  • Class, labs, library and Internet facilities are the best and more than enough. 
Academics & Faculty 9/10
  • For science and MBA like streams, daily routine is loaded (9am to 6pm). Regular exams, assignments are done for the continuous evaluation process.
  • The Physics teaching method is really nice. We got a position in QS Faculty wise ranking this year.
  • It is really good experience.
Fees and Scholarship 9/10
  • The course fee is around Rs 6,000/-per year
  • Many Scholarships are there. Two types of scholarship from university administration for admitted students. Telangana govt. scholarship for minorities, SC/ST etc.
  • If we include INSPIRE and other govt. scholarships out of almost 5000 students 3000 students get some scholarship.
  • Loan Not at all required.
Placements & Internships 8/10
  • I got an internship at IIT Madras with stipend of Rs 5,000/- per month.
  • I can not say about companies. But in subjects like MBA placement is almost 100%. HSBC, TCS, WIPRO and much more companies come for the placements.
  • Average salary is about Rs 2.5 lakh per annum and maximum goes upto Rs 10 lakh.
  • Alumni Network is not as strong as IITS. But it is average.

  • There are approximately 20 hostels in our University. Out of which 7 are ladies' hostels and the remaining are boys; hostel.
  • The hostel fee is very less. It is Rs. 500 per semester.
  • Outside the University the PG's charge a nominal rate.
