The college has hostel inside the campus. Though the hostel routine is strict, the over all experience is good. Food is average and affordable. Infrastructure is good but can be improved. WiFi facilities are available in the college library.

Timing is 1-6 pm. We get projects on research methodology in the first year and dissertation on the last year. The teaching staffs are knowledgeable and accessible. The overall experience of the course is informative and useful for International jobs in organizations and companies.

Per semester fee is INR 21-23,000. Scholarships are available based on annual income of the parents. 2-3 students get scholarship per year.

Internships can be done at various International organizations, NGOs, Government firms, govt ministries and think tanks. My internship was at Surana and Surana International Attorneys. Most interns don't get stipends. It depends on the company you work. Students have been placed on companies like World Bank, national newspapers etc.

The eligibility criteria for this course is an undergraduate degree in any arts or engineering course. We had a simple writing exam based on current affairs for the entrance. They do not prefer to select you by marks. But by your knowledge on current affairs.

The college atmosphere is good. There is no separation between the students. It is a womens college. All the students are treated equally irrespective of their caste, creed,religion.

The classrooms and Labs are well furnished and the facilties are up to date. It has a good infrastucture where no one can say any negative comments.. The College does not have the transport facilities but it has four hostels where more than 1000 cann accomodate.

Classes works from 8am to 1pm for morning college and 1.30 to 5.30 for evening college. It is an autonomous institution. the college management is FMM sisters. All UG courses are available. Most of the teachers are doctorate and hence they have very good knowledge over the subject and the quality of teaching is the best..It is one of the best womens college in chennai, Tamilnadu. Prof are available to the students irrespective of the class hours. Stella Maris is the best womens college to be preferred if you are interested in doing arts and science.
