There is just one Boys hostel on-campus. But ample housing options are available outside. Many PG's are available. The food in the college is among the best in Mumbai. There is a full-fledged canteen providing food at reasonable costs. The quality of classrooms can be a little better. Labs are good. There are two libraries (lending & reference) which contain more than 20,000 books. Wi-Fi connectivity is provided on-campus. There is also a basketball court & volleyball court. A Gymkhana is present with all gym equipments.
The class timings are from 8:00 am to 2:40 pm. Not many research projects are undertaken as such. The exam pattern is different from the university as it is an autonomous institute. There are two 20 marks Unit tests and an End Sem exam every Semester. Quality of teaching is quiet good. The Physics department is the only problem. Mostly AV method of teaching is practised. The overall experience for me has been quiet good.
The course fee is negligible. It is around Rs.6000 p.a. for my course. Scholarship options are also available for financially weak students. All of the backward class students are eligible for Tuition fee waiver.
I haven't done any internship as such. The placements are very scarce with only a few companies recruiting on campus. Mostly companies like Ernst &Young, Citibank, etc. offer placements in IT & Management roles. The alumni network is quiet strong.
The Eligibility criteria for admission was that the student should have cleared the 12th Boards Exam with 55% or more. No Entrance test. The typical cut-off for my course is around 90% in 12th Boards.
The campus life is great. There are event's that go on all year round in which u can participate and the best part is cross faculty studies in which you have to study a subject from a different department. It's the best campus in Mumbai.
Only boy's hostel is there in the college and the canteen food is just amazing, the college infrastructure is also good.
We enjoy every day learning new kinds of stuff and the class timings differ like we have 4 practicals twice a week and the normal college timing is 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The course fee is INR 40000 per year and some of the students get the scholarship.
The highest package this year was INR 9.2 lakh and the alumni encourages you to attend the events and workshops on the campus.
A decent mark in math subject is necessary for the admission.
A student should qualify (10+2) with 80% and above, there was no entrance exam.
The college life in general is amazing. The people are friendly, accepting and disciplined. The faculty is helpful as well. The surroundings are filled with entertaining places and the quality of studies is also very good.
The hostels are good and well equipped. The food in the college is tasty as well as nutritious. The infrastructure is well maintained with high class equipment.
The daily routine is well balanced. There is sufficient time allotted to studies as well as co-curriculars. The quality and method of teaching are also good. The overall experience is great.
The course fee per annum is INR 5400 and a variety of scholarship options are available for students who want to apply for it. Loans are hardly needed.
No internships were done yet. The alumni network is strong and well connected. All courses are offered, so a large variety of companies hire from our campus.
Only the college entrance test was required. The eligibility criteria was 12th pass.
