There is one hostel inside campus, hostel is nice, fees is around 10k per month. This is only for boys. There are quiet a few options like PGs and other hostels. Every year we have many outsider students coming. They take local marine lines PG or byculla Hostels. Cost is around INR 10k to 12k. Quality of classroom, labs, library, the canteen is really good. People make it home. Like most of the time, they stay in college. Canteen and library has free wifi. There is no mobile network in college campus except in open areas.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
1/10

Four lectures every day ( 50 mins each) break, practicals. Teaching is both chalk and board type and ppts and demonstration type. Overall experience is really good. Some people get frustrated with extra curriculum and S.I.P.(social service) mandatory. Introverts explore themselves

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The cutoff for open caste students is very high; but if you come under any reserved caste or Christian minority, it is easy to get in. Difference between Christian minority and the non-christian minority is around 25%. There is no need for any entrance exam for B.Sc. Admission is based on 12 standard mark sheet.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
7/10

The plethora of clubs and associations are present, lots of opportunities for students. The college hosts the largest number of fests probably any college will host but every fest runs one after the other like clockwork.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION
5/10

There is a boys hostel on the campus. Hostels for girls are present around the college but not directly associated with the college itself. Food is reasonable, plenty of choice, good service. Being a heritage building, classrooms are straight from a 70's movie and have an old world charm to it.

Adequate board exams percentage is the criteria for admission to St Xavier's bachelor of science. Typically the percentage should be above 85% as this is a top rated University and picks only the creme de la creme of students across India as well as abroad.
