The festivals on our campuses are above averages. Its not too fancy and bad.

College Infrastructure 6/10

Our hostel is located on the campuses itself. The cost of food is cheap and quite affordable.

Academics & Faculty 7/10

Academic wise our college is pretty decent and has a good faculty. Quality and method of teaching are well. The daily routine is scheduled in such a way that makes it less lengthy.

Fees and Scholarship 4/10

The fee structure is one of the negative points of our college as they charge a bit more than usual. The college fee is INR 2.8 lakh per annum. Loans aren't a necessary option as the costs aren't that high. There are no scholarships options available on our college campuses.

Placements & Internships 7/10

There are many reputed companies that come every year on the campuses.

Admissions

A student should have passed his/her 12th Board with a minimum of 60% marks. A student needs to get a rank below 1500 to get into the IT course. The only Entrance exam NPAT, that needs to be given and which is conducted by the college itself to get enrolled into MPSTME or NMIMS. NPAT is basically an aptitude based test and is not that tough to crack even if you don't have a scientific background.

There are many student committees in the college, the two main being the student's council and the MUN. Sattva, Taqneeq, Mumbai MUN are the main festivals of the campus. College life is very chilled over here as well as competitive.

College Infrastructure 8/10

There is a boys hostel next to the college but with a limited number of rooms. PG's and other options are there close to the college with an average of 7-10k per month. Food is good and hygienic and the rates are subsidized. The infrastructure of the college is very good. Each and everything is furnished and all the facilities are available in the college.

Academics & Faculty 7/10

Usually, the college starts at 9 am and it ends at 4 pm for most of the students. There are total 3 internal tests and one final exam. There is a slot of 20 marks for projects/assignment. The teaching is better in comparison with other colleges, but I feel they should hire better faculty with respect to the fees they charge. Overall experience is average.

Fees and Scholarship 3/10

My course fee is 2.7Lakhs per year. No scholarship is available for students. Education loans are available from banks.

Placements & Internships 7/10

Till now I have not done any internships but it is an important part as you get an industry knowledge through it. LNT is the main company that our college has combined with. Students get an average salary of 4 to 4.5 Lakhs rupees per annum for a B.Tech degree.

The entrance exam to be taken is NPAT which is an internal exam of NPAT college.  The syllabus is basic maths, logical and critical reasoning. Societies & Associations 10/10
  • As for co-curricular activities, the students' council has many committees within it (Cultural, Technical, Social, Sports, Social Impact, Colloquium), along with multiple other national and international committees (AIESEC, ACM, MUN).
  • Events are held almost every other week by some or the other committee at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering.
College Infrastructure 10/10
  • When it comes to hostels MPSTME is top notch. Though there are few room availabilities in the MPSTME hostel itself, there is a range of good PG's available in the neighbourhood.
  • In a nutshell, you wouldn't have any problems to find a room.
  • Per annum, the residential cost ranges from Rs 1.5-2.5 lacs.
  • The college canteen is excellent with a whole array of meal options available. Everything is reasonably priced.
  •  There is not a lot of campuses but there is Wi-Fi available for all students.
Academics & Faculty 9/10
  • MPSTME is a place where you will have to work ver hard. There is no time to relax within the semester, and classes are conducted 6 days a week, for about 6 hours a day.
  • The attendance required is 80% (Up to 70%-ish is accepted in some cases- genuine medical reasons, etc.) 100% Attendance is required in tutorials and labs.
  • Assignments are also given throughout the semester (2 per subject). Vivas are conducted almost every lab session. Thus, the atmosphere is pretty competitive. The lectures for all Streams are different and timings vary for all Streams.
  • Typically college starts at 8:00 am and ends at 3:00 pm but not at all days.
  • There are 2 units in each semester and then the semester examination. So each semester has 3 tests. •Faculty may or may not change after every semester.
  • The quality and methods of teaching are fairly good, again it depends on the faculty.
  • The reference books suggested by the faculty are also good and most of the professors will give you their own notes.
  • A student needs to have a minimum 80% attendance for each semester. If not then the student will not be allowed to give the semester examinations and he/she will have to repeat the whole year.
  • To pass in a particular subject a student must score a minimum of 50% marks in all examinations.
Fees and Scholarship 6/10
  • B.Tech course fee per annum is Rs 2.5 lacs (All Streams).
  • MBA Tech course fee per annum is Rs 3.5 lacs (All Streams) at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering), batch of 2017
College Infrastructure 10/10
  • There is 1 girls and 1 boy's hostel.
  • Food in the canteen is much better than other colleges. Price for full lunch is Rs 45
  • Infrastructure is the only good part about this college. Be it classrooms, library, canteen, building itself, everything.
Placements & Internships 7/10
  • Not many big companies have come to our campus for placements as for yet. The main reason being the start of mechanical degree 5-6 years back.
  • The highest package offered till now is Rs 6,50,000 per annum to a student seeking a job in a core mechanical company. There are just a few core mechanical companies while IT have numerous options
Fees and Scholarship 5/10
  • The college fee per semester is around Rs. 2,50,000/- which is way too much for an engineering course, but being "deemed-to-be" this was expected.
  • I haven't come across any scholarship programmes for its admission or anything else.
