MDI, Gurgaon has consistently been ranked among the top 10 B-schools in India. It has a rigorous academic schedule with constinuous asssessment comprising of quizzes, presentations and other class activities. The faculty to student ratio is one of the best in the country. The 40-acre lush green campus is beautiful and the faculty stays on campus and hence very approachable as well.

HOSTELS & FOOD
7/10
Only on campus housing is available. Since the college is located at a remote location, there are some issues with housing visiting faculties outside the campus. The food quality is standard, with nothing too good or too bad.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION
10/10
Classrooms are of industry standard, with semicircle format to ensure audibility and visibility. The computer lab houses close to 200 PCs with software like SPSS.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK
10/10
Ample of opporunities, with companies like KPMG, Pepsico hiring students. average touch 45,000 whch is good for an MBA institute in its first year of initiation.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
9/10
Excellent faculties, very good learning environment with some activity or the other happening every few days. Visiting faculties from top colleges strengthen the case.

SOCIAL ATMOSPHERE
10/10
The school does well to ennsure some diversity, male female ratio is decent (not great). The campus is usually decently full with exchaneg students. There are rules around drinking in campus and intime (dunno why!!)..  Gurgaon however is full of places to go out and chill - malls, pubs etc.

CLUBS & ASSOCIATIONS
8/10
Plenty of clubs in the school trying to up the level of students.  Unnati - the mutual fund run by students is great experience. Illumina does well for the marketing enthusiasts.

HOSTELS & FOOD
8/10
Different standards between hostels, strict rules as well.  You could be lucky to get a room with AC or will have to be content with a cooler.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION
10/10
Big campus with plenty infra for acads and sports, during my time the college lacked a good amphi theater (still lacks i think).. over all decent infra in the middle of Gurgaon.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK
8/10
The placement committe works hard to get companies to campus - not the best campus for consulting (limited options), but great for marketing / finance roles.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE
10/10
Excellent exchange schools, attended Kenan Flagler, UNC, US.  From a batch of 240 about 80 went for exchange.  The quality of students coming in (when we were in 1st year) was great as well, made plenty good international connections.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY
9/10
Good faculty especially in the marketing domain.  You will learn as much as you want to - no one runs around with a stick behind you!

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK
9/10
It has been a very succesful year for MDI both in terms of the Summer Internships and the Final Placements. MDI should be definitely rated higher than what it is rated now. Both the number and quality of recruiters has been improving constantly.

FOREIGN EXCHANGE & INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE
9/10
After IIM A, MDI is the second best MBA college in India in terms of the international exposure. Apart from students going for exchange programs, it has a special program i.e. International Management where in students does 1 year of MBA in India and the other 1 Year abroad.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY

MDI lays equal emphasis on academics and research & developments as much as it focusses on the Placements. It provides you with an environment for holistic development.
