There are many societies, fashion society, dance(western and Indian both, singing society, drama society, the literary society, book society. The sports club is there.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 12 class with minimum 50% can fill the application form for admission. The admission will be held on the cut off basis there is no entrance test for any course in college. Cutoffs differ from categories to categories if you are generally so you should have more than 85% in order to get the admission in college but if you are OBC, SC, ST then you need comparatively low marks than general category students because you will get a relaxation from 5 to 10 %.

Eligibility Criteria was that candidate should be passed 10+2 examination. Admission is done on the basis of 10+2 marks. The cutoff marks are 93%.

Admission will be done on the basis of the 12th result and on the basis of university entrance examination. For this course, the typical cutoff was 90% in my college.

There are too many societies in the college like Western dance before, Indian dance society, Music, Debate, NCC, NSS, Drama, Fashion society etc.
In the college, we all live a very cool life and all the seniors are very helpful.

  • There are no hostels at the college but many PGs are available near the college.
  • In the college, there is one canteen and an ice cream parlor. The canteen provides best quality food at very low rates.
  • A grade infrastructure in the college and there are lots of gardens and well maintained classrooms, all departments are separate and there are two libraries in which lots of books are present and there is an E- LIBRARY also where we can print pages.

  • Most of the class starts from 8:38 am to 4:30 PM.
  • Very good methods of teaching are present here. All faculties are very helpful.
  • It was a nice experience in the college.

B.Sc life science fee is INR 6965 per year.
The ST students who get 60% and above get the scholarship from college but have to fill a form before the semester.

  • Zeal: Western Dance society, which is one of thebest Western dance societies in Delhi University.*.
  • Galore: The fashion society; is rated as one of the best in Delhi university*.
  • Nrityakriti : Indian Dance Society which showcases different dance forms of Indian states. Nrityakriti is amongst the best folk dancesocieties in Delhi university.*.
  • Vista: The Photography Society*.
  • Trenchant: The English debating Society*.The college also has a very active Enactus society.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

Since it’s a girls' college the majority of the faculty is female. The teaching is excellent though communication is predominantly in English, which may be a problem for vernacular-medium students. Students feel that the faculty is one of the best in Delhi University (DU) and they rate the Macro-economics teacher as the best of the lot.

There are many societies and clubs comprising of western and traditional dance, music, debate, photography etc. There are several fests conducted throughout the year. Life in college is good overall

There are no hostels right now but construction is in full swing. There is ample number Of PGs around the college and the cost ranges from INR 5000-INR 20000 per month. The food in the canteen is always fresh and very tasty. The maximum cost you could be charged for is INR 30. The classrooms are different for different courses, for mine, there is a huge hall equipped with the basic necessities. Wi-Fi networks are available for free.

The class schedules are busy. The classes start from 8 in the morning and it usually ends till 4:30 PM. The quality of teaching is superb with all teachers excelling in their fields. Overall, one could not moan over such a fantastic teaching staff.

The annual fee for the first year is INR 5000 and it reduces as we go further into subsequent years. There are various science scholarships available for higher studies. Looking at the fees annually no loans are actually needed

I haven't done any internship yet. There is a placement cell of Delhi university that looks upon the placements. Some of the alumnae are Veena Saharan, first woman pilot of Indian air force. Piya Malhotra, deputy general manager in IBM


Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

The eligibility at criteria at Maitreya college, Delhi University, New Delhi for my course was that the person should have completed her 12th grade. And it's a girls college. There were no entrance exams ( completely merit based entrance). This year the first cutoff for general candidates in my course was 93%.
