I've not participated in any of the societies or clubs in the campus. But there are certain Societies names like KRMUN. Sports day is one the most important day in our college. Students from every school participate in the sports festival. The college is good and when we talk about the life here you will simply say it's awesome.
Two hostels are there in university campus one for boys and another for girls. Hostels are well organized and best in the infrastructure. For winters geysers are installed for hot water and in summer Centralized Air Conditioning system is installed for the comfort. There is no PG near the college. But if you want to live in a PG then you have travelled almost 14 Kms. No doubt, college mess/cafeteria is awesome. According to the price, food is also up to the mark. Personally, I've not query about that. Cost for the food is different according to what to want. WI-FI sucks on the university campus. Although full camps have WiFi routers installed so you'll get a good network range but when it comes to speed it is really very much low. Classrooms are designed in the shape of the auditorium so you have not to struggle to look at the place where the teacher is teaching. Labs are well equipped and I've no problem with that. The library has very less amount of books for engineering students. Keep this mind, you cannot issue the book from library thrice.
Every day you'll have to attend 8 lectures starting at 9:10 A.M to 4:10 P.M. Exams are held every month and difficulty of exams are increased from the previous one. There are three exams held in whole semester named as CAT, MID, and end semester examination. The assignment is given before each exam and has a deadline for submitting those assignments. Faculty members are highly educated and their teaching method is remarkable. They are also available to help students beyond lecture hours. My overall experience in my college is very awesome.
The total tuition fee is INR 3.4 Lakhs. Every year fee is increased by 5%. Students who score well in their academics are given a scholarship. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship is 90% marks. Our University has collaboration with State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank. If any student needs loans for further studies, they can get it from these banks.
I'm in last semester and every engineering student requires to do an internship. I was not getting any stipend but some of the students in my class was getting paid for the internship. Many companies walked into the camps for the placement. In my class, almost every student got the job. Average salary on which my batch got placement is 2.3 lac - 4 lac per annum. Percentage of getting placed was almost 85%. K.R. Mangalam University alumni offer what every senior undergrad wants: job security. The university’s School of Engineering links students to the financial capitals of the world through a formal mentorship program. Students are directly connected with alumni that make names for themselves in the big, bad world of business.
Eligibility criteria for the course are 60% marks in intermediate. The admission process is very quick. All you have to do is, just walk in the university campus and pay registration fees of Rs 800 and you're all set to go. Then one the faculty staff will take your interview for the same course you are opting for. After a successful interview, you'll be asked to submit admission fees which are different according to course you are opting for. It's a university itself and they do not require any entrance examination. No cutoff.
