Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA], batch of 2016
Academics & Faculty 8/10
  • Jagannath international management school, Vasant Kunj certified with GGSIPU provides three courses : BJMC, BBA and BCA. It was ranked 3rd position in IP university and comes under top 20 colleges in Delhi NCR. Now, come directly towards my college routine and schedule, usually the college schedule is very different than the traditional high school schedule but if I talk about my college "JIMS, VK" it follows a proper time structure 8 a.m- 1 p.m as it working in two shifts ( morning & evening) . Time and discipline is the first basic thing for a management students to lead an effective life and I thing JIMS is a perfect example of this. It guides the students in a manner which will beneficial for students in future to take timely action, come up with new creative ideas, take care of responsibilities etc. But it's not like that you have to attend the classes regularly so that you cannot go for extra-curricular activities, it allows the students to take part in so many activities of college ( various intra & inter competition, sports activities, college fest , university fest etc.) My college is also very concerned with environmental development as it conduct plantation event every year, recently it started with sawach bharat activities in which we as student take part to clean our surroundings, all these things develop the responsibility among students towards our society and teaches us to lead a life ethically. Moreover, there is nothing to worry about missing classes as the teachers of JIMS is so supportive and taking care of each individual student in academic, provides us extra classes if had any missed. I have been the academic representative of my class from last three years for which I have to attend so many meetings with our director and HOD at so many times and be presented at any urgent call apart from all this I never had to face any problem in my studies, so all can I say study will never be a problem for any student in future also. Regular presentation activities and case problem twice in a week is must and comes everytime with new topic which is relevant for our course as it prepares the student to overcome the hesitation problem and giving the presentation before students, facing question fire rounds. Unique business case studies helps the student to be a creative thinker and problem solver, overall students enjoys all these kind of activities. Now talk about exams, we have two internals conducting before our final semester happens. The internal exams structured in a way that it prepares the students for final exams and also give us the chance to earn some Brownie points we can say (marks) which will help us in final exams. Internships plays a very essential role in any college, JIMS provides very good placements opportunities either it's for job or summer internship. Like most students has to search for good companies here and there but my college enables the students to work with reputed companies and also give us chance to involve in start-ups and while making projects it involves each individual in research activities. Coming to startup opportunity, JIMS has it's own entrepreneurial society which supports the students financially those who have innovative Start-up ideas. JIMS is one of those colleges, who also conducts National Seminar programmes every year which invites members of top MNC's , member of parliament, trainers of financial institutions, professors of top universities, differentiate it from other management colleges as it gives us chance to interact with so many reputed people and gaining knowledge from them and learn unique methods of productivity which they usually follow in their effective work life. In a nutshell, my experience with JIMS was wonderful, I could write so many things. Overall I can say it helps the student to become confident, responsible person , and make them think to choose the right career path. Being a part of this college, I am able to develop myself in so many phases either it's about academic or my personal development in styling and fashion. I would say people of JIMS has the capability to compete with any other college if we talk about, dancing, singing , bands, fashion world... JIMS people carry their own style. Moreover, I feel very lucky that I was a part of this college It makes me what I am today. I have learnt so many good things from my college mates (juniors or seniors) , my college professors who have never said no whenever I need them. And when you gotta to chance to meet varieties of people in college you learn lots of things from each one about their lifestyle , culture and I would say jims student are so crazy and so enthusiastic one can never feel bored if you are a person who like to bunk classes nd hang out.. haha. !! I am now I can say more confident person. I thing it's truly said " there is no knowledge without college". One should visit JIMS, Vasant kunj and meet people of JIMS. Thank you :)

  • Placement, every student takes a toll on before admission. Let me be fair enough on this.

  • There is no difference with the faculty for any of the shifts, the same faculty will be teaching to both morning and evening shifts, though there might be some visiting faculties and their timings vary.
  • You need to appear in two internal examinations, one internal practical and then the external practical and examinations.
  • The internals are conducted by the college and external by the university. For external practicals, they will be conducted in the college premises but for external examinations, you have to go to some other colleges, just like your board examinations, allotted by the university.
  • At the end of each semester, you need to submit one project and the number of assignments varies from subject to subject and teacher to teacher.
  • Talking about the quality and method of teaching, you will be having projectors and whiteboard for classroom lectures and 30 computer X 2 Labs for practical teaching.
