INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION
7/10
  • The classrooms are good but sadly they do not have air conditioners.
  • There is a satisfactory Wi-Fi service inside the premises.
  • The canteen is one of the best among the DU canteens with a lot of variety to offer.
  • A new academic block has been built in the college.
  • The college has recently inaugurated its girl hostel whereas the boys hostel has been there for a very long time now. However the seats in hostel are purely based on the marks a student scores. But even if a student doesn't get a seat in the hostel, he still has various PG and flat options available which are at walling distances from the college.

PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK
8/10
  • The Science courses do not have placements as such, but the innovation projects and internships at research centres has no limits.
  • A student gets to work through out the year if he or she is involved in projects that the teachers offer. Whereas, the placements in the commerce department are very nice. Last year, 6 of my friends received an INR 10 lakh package.
  • The internship cell as well as the placements cell work very hard to get the top companies to the college.

FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP
10/10
  • The fees for a year at Hindu J. Chemistry Hons is INR 26,000/- The students can avail the INSPIRE scholarship. Those who score more than the cut off of INSPIRE get the scholarship every year.
  • Loans are not needed as the fees is very minimal.

  • They have the best organic chemistry teachers.

  • Overall, the charm of Hindu college and the academics go together very well.

  •  In Hindu college, for a Science student classes start from 8:50 A.M and end by either 3 P.M or 5 P.M depending on the time table with few breaks. You'll be given 2-3 assignments per semester and same numbder of tests in each subject. It will count to your 20 marks out of 25. For each subject marks distribution will be 75(theory) + 25 (internals) + 50 (practical, if any) So the remaining 5 marks in 25 will be for your attendance which has to be 80+%.
  • The quality of education is great and it's the number 1 School of Delhi University for Science. You will get the most helpful and friendly teachers. You may get addicted to some teachers and their teaching style too.
