Bachelor of Arts [BA], batch of 2018
College Infrastructure 8/10
  • There is a separate hostel for girls and boys. They have a collaboration with Dev Samaj college of girls, so when hostel seats are full, girls are shifted to that hostel which is 10 minutes walking distance from college. I live in dev samaj hostel and it costs approximately INR 6000 per month with excellent food.
  • SD college's rooms are without coolers and you can get your own, but dev samaj rooms are comparatively more ventilated and with coolers. Ac rooms are also available. The campus of dev samaj hostel is huge as compared to SD. So the hostel of dev samaj is preferable according to me.
  • PG's are available. Food is no big deal for people who live in PG's as there are lots of tiffin services and private mess but then the quality and variety of food may not be there. So if food is not to be given a back seat, then hostels are preferable.
  • Food is tasty and hygenic. The major sold food items are shakes, juices ,sandwiches and pranthas.
  • There is WiFi facility in the campus and there is a reading room to enjoy the service.
  • There is a library and digital library for students which is amazing.
  • The campus is good. The co-ed college's crowd is good.
  • Proper safety is ensured while some events are organized.
Academics & Faculty 8/10
  • College is termed best in academics in every sphere especially commerce. It holds the best B.COM and BBA faculty. There is a lot of variety of subjects in humanities department which attracts lots of students to pursue B.A with their subjects. The best one being journalism , functional English and advertising and sales (according to my taste).
  • Classes are held regularly and attendance is online. The practical subjects like journalism include several seminars and workshops which are held on a regular basis. The few ones attended so far were regarding public relations, direction and filming, editing, radio journalism etc.
  • The college is full of exposures with lots of academic and extra curricular opportunities.
