There are saathi and dost which is like a student helpline and there are innumerable clubs which range from hi-Tech related clubs to classical arts club. We have the saarang and shaastra, the cultural and tech fest and each department have their own fests too. Life in college is pretty much awesome.

There are about 20 hostels among which 3 hostels are for girls. The hostels are comfortable. The food in mess is very good. The infrastructure is awesome and we have WIFI connections. The labs are modern and contain state of the art technology.

We have classes from 8 AM to 6 PM with a fair amount of free time. Quality of teaching and method is very good as the professors are experienced and experts in their subjects.

  • Many companies come to our campus to provide internships and most of them are provided with stipend and I have done 2nd year intern in NAL Bangalore since it is a government organization they didnt provide me any stipend.
  • Other than core companies most of them based on marketing and sales upto my knowledge.

  • We are having a very friendly and healty alumni network in which most often visit the campus oftenly.

  • There are total of 20 hostels in our campus.Hostel fees is about Rs. 18000 per semester which also includes mess fees. For that cost they are really nice and hostels are maintained very well.
  • I dont know much abouts PGs around us upto my knowledge it may cost around Rs.6000 per month.
  • There are around ten mess for us we can change them  on  monthly basis.Most of the messes taste good and they provide us with a healty food and it cost around Rs.70 per meal.
  • We are provide with one best labs in the country with advanced equipments and skilled staff and coming to libraries we are provided with most organized and updated. In our campus we are having LAN connection with decent internet speed.

  • Since im from backward caste it cost me Rs.17726 for year but for general category students it cost around Rs 1.3 lakhs per year.
  • There are many scholarship options available based on parents income and some of them are based on CGPA. Few of them conduct exams for scholarships.
  • About 20-30% of the students get scholarship.
  • From this year fees are been raised so there is need for loan in the begining so as academics starts many scholarships are provided to students.Since my college is government state bank of india provide some special offers to us and there is also a branch of them in our campus so it is easy for students to reach them.

  • Class time table mainly depends on slots your taken most probabaly class starts with in nine in the morning and assignments are given regularly on weekly basis and best thing is you can do projects in which your intrested in under the guidance of proffesors and there will be mainly three exams in the semsester with feasible time to study.
  • The proffesors in our campus are highly qualified and they know the mentallity of the student very well so they dont go over dosing the things. They spend quality time sloving your doubts and they teach in a pre scheduled way so that you can look into the topics which they are going to teach and have idea of it.
  • To say it in a word it is awesome.Here you not only study but you learn many things.The transcantion from the spoon feeding world to the real world is done in the best way you can think of.

  • Department of Management Studies, [DoMS] IIT Madras, Tamil Nadu boasts brilliant facilities that can help hone your sports, cultural and leadership skills. There are also societies and clubs of all sorts, both within the department and institute-wide for pretty much anything that a student might be interested in. If not, the institute provides its students with the opportunity to take the initiative nad start a club of their own.
  • The technical and cultural festivals of IIT Madras, Shastra and Saarang are among the biggest inter-college festivals in the country. On top of that, the Department of Management Studies also conducts Samanvay, an inter-college business festival.

  • There are 17 hostels at Department of Management Studies, [DoMS] IIT Madras, Tamil Nadu, but MBA students each year tend to be accommodated at any two hostels (on for men and the other for women). The hostel fees which includes accommodation, mess and access to all clubs and facilities in the institute adds up to around Rs 20000 annually.
  • There is no current MBA student at IIT Madras who stays at a PG outside the campus.
  • The hostel and mess are fairly decent and are far better than the typical government college hostel.
  • Classrooms are all air conditioned and have all adequate facilities including projectors, microphones, speakers, computers and so on.

A number of recreational, sports, literary and social activities take place in the hostel during the academic year. A few rooms in the hostel are used for common facilities such as the Library, Computer Room, Indoor Sports etc. A washing machine (Laundromat) is available in every hostel for use by the residents. Students can relax in the evenings or on holidays or spend their leisure time in the Common Room which is equipped with a T.V, a music system, newspapers and magazines. One half of the Common Room houses a Table Tennis (TT) board as well. Most hostels have a Music Room which has a high-quality stereo music system and a variety of cassettes to offer to music lovers.Each room is provided with a cot, a table, a chair, a bookshelf, and a ceiling fan (with regulator). Residents cannot move the furniture or fittings from one room to another. Private cooking in the rooms is prohibited. Smoking, consumption of alcoholic drinks and use of narcotic drugs is strictly prohibited.
