Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA], batch of 2017
Hostels & Food 8/10
  • Christ University does not offer to house for most students. Students generally live in Paying Guest Homes, Hostels, and Apartments off campus.
  • There are a wide array of such services in the close vicinity of Christ University.
  • As for food, students can either eat at one of the several canteens available in Christ University or consume the food of their choice from thousands of eateries in the area.
  • The canteens at Christ are reasonably priced, hygienic and offer everything.
College Infrastructure 7/10
  • Christ University has excellent infrastructure.
  • The classrooms are large and spacious.
  • They are also equipped with AC.
  • The campus is Wi-Fi enabled though some sites are restricted.
Placements & Internships 7/10
  • Christ holds quite a strong footing when it comes to internships and job placements. Students are required to compulsorily intern in their 4th Semester during their summer holidays.
  • As for job placements, Christ attracts a range of MNC's and financial companies such as Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young, KPMG, Facebook, Google, Zomato, BMW etc. for their placements.
  • The average pay package right out of college is at Rs. 400,000 a year.
Fees and Scholarship 9/10
  • Christ University has quite a reasonable fee structure in the first place. The fees for 3 years for the program is pegged at Rs. 300,000  or roughly 5000 USD for the entire program.
  • In terms of scholarships and financing, students with special financial situations can apply for financial aid to the university and their application is assessed.
  • Quite a few rural Indians who face genuine financial hardships receive financial aid for their studies from Christ University.
International Exposure 7/10
  • While the program might not fare well against those offered by foreign universities, BBA at Christ has the most amount of international exposure in the country.
  • The college allows students to attend summer schools at foreign universities and gives credits for the same.
  • In addition, the University has a couple of scholarship based, internship/study programs in Washington in association with the Prudential Foundation.
  • In this regard, there is a fair degree of international exposure. However, there are few exchange programs.
Academics & Faculty 6/10
  • The Academics at Christ University for the BBA program are hard to compete with. They meet all industry standards and are continuously reviewed in order to ensure that they keep up with national standards. It's hard to pick any other university in India that offers such a comprehensive curriculum. Having said that, the course by itself is extremely restrictive, monotonous and generic. There is minimal scope for choosing your own subjects.
  • Moreover, most subjects are theory oriented with little real life application. It is especially hard to choose courses outside your primary field in order to diversify your thinking.
  • The faculty ranges from outright poor to fantastic. While some teachers are genuinely good at what they do, most of them are extremely poor.
  • Teachers are assigned to different sections at random and thus the odds of getting a good teacher for a subject are quite low.

Social Atmosphere 10/10
The crowd around is very friendly and easy to get along with. They are mostly fun-loving and helpful. Not only can they be partners in crime but also help at times of need. To get good friends wins half of the battle automatically and I could personally not ask for more.
Societies & Associations 10/10
The College has many Clubs and associations. There is the Debating society, Entrepreneurship Cell, Theater and NCC to start with. The Student Council acts as the link between the faculty and the students. There are lots of options and opportunities that the students can capitalize on.
College Infrastructure 9/10
The campus is huge with a lot of facilities to offer. It is an eco-friendly campus which looks really good in the evening specially with all the decorations as there is always some event or celebration. The Auditorium is massive and can accommodate over 1000 people at once and the acoustics are very well tuned. The Knowledge Center and Library are for the students to finish up backlogs in subjects as well as research on other disciplines. The Campus also has many eating spots such as canteens and a bakery. Wi-fi can be accessed from all points of the college but only on laptops that too after configuration. Overall the Campus offers its students all the facilities that they need.
Placements & Internships 10/10
The Internship Program in Washington DC offered by Prudent is a dream opportunity for most students. Also, the students necessarily have to intern during the second year. The College offers students an option as to whether they are interested in being recruited in companies from the college itself. Some of the companies that come for campus recruitments are Goldman Sachs, Zomato, etc
International Exposure 10/10
The International exposure opportunities offered are tremendous and diverse. With international college fests, exchange programs, internships at places such as Washington, etc. and much more to offer, I feel that the College offers its students a huge variety of options that they can choose from according to their preferences. The college offers an India Gateway Program that allows interested international students to come and experience India and also orients them through industrial visits, panel discussions, cultural programs and lots more. Another program offered by the college is the University Studies Abroad Consortium which allows the students to study abroad for a period of time that they choose. It helps in a great way to further expose the students to innumerable opportunities.
Academics & Faculty 8/10
The Academic Curriculum prescribed in the course is very relevant, with frequent updating and corrections through the feedback system accessible by students and teachers. Through continuous internal assessment(CIAs), students are evaluated on what and how much have they learnt over a period of time. The only drawback is that in some cases if a lecture is missed, students will have to do the portions taught on their own or with the help of friends since the lecturer may refuse to repeat a topic.
