Tech Fest happens at college which is quite decent and good. Cultural fest happens, it's also good. These 2 kinds of the fest are the responsibility of the 3rd year's students.
Very few transportation is available and i.e. some rare buses. Bike-carriers are also available but not safe, as many news of accidents is known.The college has 2 buildings, separated by 1 km and no connection in between, it's simply village in between. the 1st building is for 1st years of all streams, and the 2nd building for other years of other streams. Each building has its own set of canteens, very less cost and edible food.Quality of classrooms is livable, good. For 1st years, rooms are even good, The library had a very few stocks of books. The maximum student didn't get the required books, and the new books are not available at least until 2 months after the start of the semester.
Teachers were friendly. But most of them were not influencing. They might have the knowledge, but the target was solely course completion.
On our time 2010-2014, the fees were INR 40000 per semester. At the joining time, they took INR 20000 additionally as caution money which they return after graduation. During registration of semester exam, some fees like INR 1000 was probably required.
Free summer training on multiple courses was offered to us, at free of cost by a certain-company arranged by Techno India group. A certificate of that training was also provided by the company.For placements, it varies year to year. The condition of the main college of TIG which has the HQ remains better as compared to its other colleges. When times are good its 100% placement or sometimes it's like 50% (with low paying or low-rank companies).The placement happened at main TIG college.
We gave a WBJEE entrance exam. This college comes under Techno-India group of colleges. Your rank should be under 10000.
