PES Modern College of Engineering [PESMCE] Pune was established in 1999. The Institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE] and also from Directorate of Technical Education [DTE]. The College is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and certified by University Grants Commission [UGC] and National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC].
The motto of Progressive Education Society is "EVER TO EXCEL", to create a collaborative academic environment to foster professional excellence and ethical values. .The College provides various courses in Engineering, Computer Applications, and Management. The College mission is to provide quality education and to impart technical skills to the students. PES Modern College of Engineering admissions are done on the basis of 12th examination results.
The ambitious plan of Modern College of Engineering was initiated in the academic year 1999-2000, In true sense, the activities of this society have always been 'Progressive' and 'Modern" inspired by the vision and goal and responsibility towards society. The college has been awarded as the "Best College in the Urban area" by the University of Pune in 2012.

Teachers here are so helpful and always try to motivate students. Each subject has two faculties one for theory and other for practical lectures.
Many clubs are there in college like FOSS, ACM, CESA, ROBOTICS, PRGASUS of mechanical and hence many events are organised by college, and CodeFiesta an intercollege event is one of it, it is the event for computer and IT students. it basically includes coding oriented technical events. Cultural events like traditional day, group day are being organised. Students actively participate in the college programs and enjoy.
