The Padmashree Charitable Trust was started in the year 1994 with a vision of establishing an organization working for social cause.

This lead to start Padmashree Group of educational institutions to cater needs of the society.

Founder trustees Sri. T K Narayanappa, Dr. Aswath Narayan and Mr. Satish together nourished this cause and have been rendering their service in this front.

Padmashree Group of Institutions has a record of 15 years of Academic excellence.

In the year 1996, the Padmashree group had its launch with the Inception of First Physiotherapy college in Bangalore under Rajeev Gandhi University of health sciences.

With this humble beginning of single institutions with 25 students in the year 1996 made an impressive progress with 10 institutions, nurturing more than 2200 students today.

Padmashree group has institutions offering courses both under Bangalore university and Rajeevgandhi univeristy of health sciences.

Padmashree Institute of Physiotherapy (PIP), offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physiotherapy courses. PIP was started in 1996 with permission from the government of Karnataka and affiliation from Bangalore University. This was one of the first Physiotherapy institutes in Bangalore. The institute has good number of highly qualified and experienced staff to provide theory and practical training to the students in all subjects. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is recognized by the Government of Karnataka and the Indian Association of Physiotherapist. The college has successfully seen through twelve batches of graduates and ten batches of post graduates students since its inception. At Padmashree, subjects are being taught with a shared stress on theory and practical based on the philosophy that what the mind does not know, the eyes don’t see, the ears don’t hear, the fingers don’t feel and the nose doesn’t smell. Our students are provided with hands on working atmosphere for which all the necessary clinical materials and facilities are made available. The college has separate laboratories for physiology, Biochemistry, Anatomy, Therapeutic Exercise and Electrotherapeutics. The Anatomy laboratory is fully equipped for students to practice dissection as well as part identifications. The students practicals in Therapeutics and Electrotherapeutics is conducted in separate Demonstration halls equipped with all the devices necessary for students to learn and practice these subjects.

The Group constantly endeavours to identify and offer additional courses that become contemporarily more relevant.

It offers job oriented training programs in Plant Tissue Culture, Molecular Biology, Quality Control, Animal cell culture and Clinical Research etc.

In addition the Group has the added distinction of being the First College under the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, to offer the Bachelors in Hospital Administration, Masters in Public Health, Bachelors in Public Health and M Sc Clinical Research programs

Padmashree retains the honour of having started BiodHRona an exclusive placement cell for biotech graduates and a Biotech Finishing School with the approval and support of Department of IT, BT, Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka.

Padmashree is ranked consistently among the top 20 private Biotech Schools in India

The institution creates a multicultural and multidimensional environment to ensure delivery of quality education and a wholistic & pragmatic approach to understand healthcare and education.

Today the institution has students from ten countries spread over continents, particularly Asia, Africa.

Extracurricular and Co-curricular activities include cultural activities and sports are an integral part of the curriculum

The Group provides incentives to deserving student in the form of scholarships, grants etc.
