College Daily timings are from 9 am to 2 pm in the afternoon.
We celebrate 15 August every year and many more cultural programs on the College campus.
Mumtaz College was started in 1957 as a Science College affiliated to the Osmania University with P.U.C. and B.Sc. in English medium. At present it has three intermediate courses and twelve Under Graduate courses a part from one Post Graduate course. The staff is committed, professionally competent and highly qualified to produce educated young men and women to accept the challenges of the present job market.

The Library is a treasure house of books and serves in coordination with the advisor committee. It has an Internet facility and has a wide collection of CD's, Course Books, Reference Books, Periodicals, Journals and Academic Magazines. It has four sections earmarked for Reference Section, Reading Room, and lending Section.
There is a separate Reference Room for the benefit of girl students.

The institute offers placement assistance to the students for seeking best job in the industry. Along with that, the college also provide training and career guidance services to shape the career of students by developing their personalities. The institute organizes various programs for enhancing the skills of the students and make them prepare for upcoming challenges.
Scholarships and Freeships
Social Welfare Department. Minority Financial Corporation; Govt. Of A.E and Urdu Academy Govt. of India, provide scholarships for all B.C, S.C. S.T and minority candidates. All students whose parental income is less than annually are eligible for scholarship by the Minority Finance Corporation. Placement Cell functions to make students aware of various job opening in the market. Guidance and counselling is also provided to students from time to time.
