Academics & Faculty
  •  The curriculum at Lady Shriram College is a healthy mixture of learning through lectures, books, presentations, assignments and projects. From the two main courses, BBS and BFIA, specializations are available for the former (finance, marketing, HR) while the latter is a finance specific course. Both are quality courses and can be taken up depending on the level of generalization a student prefers at an undergrad level. Both open up various avenues for a career right after graduation. The quality of teaching has scope for improvement in terms of making it more activity oriented.
  • With an increased intake of some new faculty, the standards are in the process of being brought up to earlier levels. There are regular quality guest lecturers and there is satisfactory professor accessibility outside classes. The library is below average.
Fees and Scholarship
  • The college fees is INR 25000-30000 for three years depending on the cou

Fees and Scholarship Students with financially low backgrounds are provided with scholarships along with hostel facilities. Placements & Internships The placement cell is very strong with companies like Bain, Mckinsey, Ernst and Young coming in. Internship opportunities for Teach for Indian and companies like Zomato also provided. However, the big companies prefer students from Economic background. For the other backgrounds, the scope in startups is good.

Academics & Faculty LSR is one of the best colleges in India for students who want to pursue arts ! I'm lucky enough to study in this college, nurturing my personality. It does not offer a good academic staff, but also surrounds you with a sophisticated crowd. The college also introduces you to a lot of scholarship and internship opportunities. The various socities of the college are considered to be one of the best in Delhi University. Being a government college, the infrastructure iservices not as good as a private college, but decent enough and very clean. With one of the most beautiful lawns in the entire university ! The café and nescafé offer a wide variety of menu at decent rates ! All in all you will never regret being a part of the LSR family ! :)

Academics & Faculty Lady Shri Ram College for Women introduced a three year Honours programme in Journalism in July 1995. In this short span of time, this course has developed into one of the most coveted undergraduate programmes for potential journalists in the country. The teaching methodology incorporates lectures, workshops and seminars, and emphasizes independent projects and extensive written assignments. The Principal and some members of the college faculty oversee the programme and deliver lectures from time to time in their special disciplines. A Co-coordinator assists in assigning and evaluating projects, conducts regular appraisals and facilitates the practical components of the programme. It is the attempt at LSR to imbibe the teaching-learning process with the kind of sensitivity that reconciles excellence with humanity, a pedagogy that can break free of rhetoric, shatter myths and rescue imagination and intuition using them as resources to conceive and initiate change. To do this, the students are provided

Academics & Faculty The Department of Journalism at Lady Shri Ram College for Women is considered to be one of the best in the country. However, it is the overall academic and cultural environment of the college coupled with the fact that the college is situated in what can probably be called the media capital of India- New Delhi. At the academic level, there is a great of academic stimulation owing to the Annual Academic Meet of the Department along with the number of guest lectures and workshops- from media ethics to film-making. In this regard, the level of exposure to both academia and industry is quite high. Some famous journalists from the college include Nidhi Razdan and Anjali Bhardwaj.
