Interactive Research School For Health Affairs (IRSHA) was established in Pune in the year 2001. It is a unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University). The vision of the institute is to be a world-class university for Social transformation through dynamic education. It is approved by University Grants Commission(UGC) and Affiliated to NAAC with ‘A’ Grade.

The college offers Ph.D programs in 4 disciplines namely Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Interdisciplinary Sciences and Ayurveda. IRSHA Pune has made its presence felt both at the national and international levels by many national and international collaborations. It has received 60 Honors and Awards and more than 5 cr research grants from ICMR, DBT, DST and Wellcome Trust, UK.

IRSHA Courses

The IRSHA offers a Doctorate degree program in Ayurved, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc. The core area of research are Mother and child health, Cancer, Diabetes, Obesity, Osteoarthritis & Herbal medicine. The curricula for these programs are designed, developed and revised by the Committee designated by the University. They offer Ph.D with Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Interdisciplinary Sciences and Ayurveda as specialization.

IRSHA Facilities

IRSHA is equipped with many research and infrastructural facilities. Research instruments in various domains are present in the Institution like -80 Deep Freezer, -20 Deep Freezer, UV/VIS Spectrophotometer, CO2 Incubators, Laminar Flow Cabinets, Speed Vac System, Gel Documentation System, etc. Infrastructural facilities include classrooms, Library, Laboratories, etc. Other facilities provided by IRSHA are:

IRSHA Eligibility Criteria

Students looking for admission in PhD must have a Bachelor's Degree, M.Phil. degree or Post Graduate degree in the desired field. Ph.D is a research degree that requires the candidates to have deep research skills, a problem-solving attitude and enthusiasm about interpreting things and discovering new practical ideas for the modern world. The table below gives the information about the eligibility criteria of course in IRSHA:

Ph.D	Candidates who have completed Post Graduate or its equivalent with a minimum of 55%(UR) and 50%(Reserved category) marks from a recognized university or institution. Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate

IRSHA Admissions

Eligible candidates can apply on the website. Admissions are based on eligibility and merit. The Faculty of IRSHA is highly qualified and experienced in its field. Admission to IRSHA is taken care by Bharti Vidya Peeth. They conduct an All India Entrance Test to admit students in Ph.D. Following is the process to take admission the college:

Admission forms are available on the website
For appearing in the test, students need to fill the form and submit the registration fees
Students who have appeared for UGC-NET (including JRF/AYUSH-NET) / UGC - CSIR NET (including JRF / SLET / valid GATE / GPAT / Project Fellows / Teacher fellowship) or DST inspire fellowship, DBT fellowship, or Quality improvement program (QIP), National Doctoral Fellowship Scheme (NDF) of AICTE or have passed M.Phil. will be exempted from the All India Entrance Test.
The written test will be of 100 marks and students have to score a minimum of 50% marks on the test.
Selected students have to appear for the interview.

Admission is based on candidates’ inter-merit in the Entrance Test, the performance of the candidate at the interview and the availability of seats in the subject concerned.
Candidates who have been declared eligible has to apply for admission producing the documents and submitting the fees
