Scholarships at Indian Institute of Technology, [IIT] Gandhinagar:

Scholarships Instituted by IIT Gandhinagar Criteria
Scholarship for Academic Excellence
  • Every student who secures the highest CPI in their respective discipline, are awarded ₹2,000 per month for ten months.
  • However, if the awardee is also the recipient of any scholarship of equal or higher value, then he/ she is eligible only for a one-time receipt of ₹ 5000 
Scholarship for Excellence in Sports and Games
  • The total amount of such scholarships awarded every year is six
  • The students in the second, third and fourth year of their UG program can apply and each recipient is awarded ₹2,000 per month for ten months.
  • However, if the awardee is also a recipient of any scholarship of equal or higher value, then he/she is eligible only for a one-time receipt of ₹5000 
Scholarship for Excellence in Arts & Culture
  •  Every year two scholarships is available to UG students of the second, third and fourth year, wherein each recipient is awarded ₹2,000 per month for ten months.
  • However, if the awardee is also the recipient of any scholarship of equal or higher value, then he/she is eligible only for a one-time receipt of ₹5000
Scholarship for Excellence in Social Work and Leadership
  • Two of such scholarships are awarded
  • The students who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and social outreach initiatives. The students in the second, third and fourth year of their undergraduate program can apply
  • Each of the recipients is awarded ₹2,000 per month for ten months.
  • However, if the awardee is also recipient of any scholarship of equal or higher value, then he/she is eligible only for a one-time receipt of ₹ 5000 
Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships
  • Under the MCM Scholarship a maximum of 25% of the enrolled students in the UG program (up to 2015 batch only) and MSc Program (Maths, Physics & Chemistry) are awarded full tuition fee waiver for their current academic year along with a stipend of ₹1,000 per month for ten months
  • The students whose annual parental income is not more than ₹4,50,000 and having a minimum CPI of 6.5 during the preceding academic year are eligible 
  • This scholarship expires at the end of the year

 

 

Scholarships Instituted By Donors Criteria
Class-of-2016 Scholarship
  • Students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 8,00,000 are eligible
  • The scholarship amount is 2,000 per month for 10 months 
Class-of-2015 Scholarship
  • Students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 8,00,000 are eligible
  • The scholarship is an MCM scholarship 
  • The scholarship amount is 2,000 per month for 10 months
Kandoi-Dairkee-Gaurav KDG Scholarship
  • One Merit-cum-Means Scholarship will be awarded to a second or third year B.Tech student who is actively involved in non-academic activities of the Institute and showing trajectory towards all rounded growth 
  • The gross annual parental income of the student from all sources should not exceed ₹ 8 Lakhs per annum.
  • The student should secure a minimum CPI of 6.0. The scholarship amount is ₹ 5,000 per month for ten months
Mahabir Prasad Sultania Scholarship
 
Durga Devi Sultania Scholarship

Students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 8,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship.

The scholarship amount is ₹ 5,000 per month for ten months 

Niteen P. Sant Scholarship
  • The scholarship is a merit-cum-means scholarship 
  • B.Tech students of Civil Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering who are in their second year, with a minimum CPI of 6.5 and a maximum parental income of ₹ 4,50,000 are eligible 
Amalthea Scholarship
  • The students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 8,00,000 are eligible to apply.
  • The recipient of Amalthea Scholarship shall receive ₹ 5,000 per month for ten months 
Lalita J Shah & Jayantilal B Shah Scholarship
  •  The students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 8,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
  • Each of the awardees shall receive ₹ 2,000 per month for ten months.
P.K. Kelkar Scholarship
  • The students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹8,00,000 will be eligible for this scholarship 
  • The scholarship amount is 2,000 per month for 10 months
Sri Temasek at IIT Gandhinagar Scholarship
  • The students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 8,00,000 are eligible to avail this scholarship
  • The scholarship amount is 2,000 per month for 10 months 
Satyaram Scholarships
  • The students with a minimum CPI of 6.5 (CPI is not applicable for first-year students) and whose family annual income is not more than ₹ 3,00,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The awardee will be eligible for ₹ 10,000 per month for ten months 
Prof. M H Divekar Scholarship
  • The student with the highest grade in Chemical Engineering course is awarded this scholarship 
  • The scholarship is awarded every month
  • The awardee receives a scholarship amount of ₹2,000/- per month for ten months.   
S.C. Mehrotra’s Scholarship
  • The scholarship is open to second-year UG students of Civil Engineering
  • Once the scholarship is awarded it is continued for the student for the next six semesters
  • The students having a minimum CPI of 6.5, with annual parental income, not more than ₹ 4,50,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The awardee shall receive ₹ 1500 per month for ten months s of the academic year

 

 

Chandrakant and Patricia Desai Scholarship
  • The scholarship is only for the students of second-year UG students of Civil Engineering 
  • The scholarship is a Merit-Cum-Means scholarship
  • The scholarship is given every year to one student who has a minimum CPI of 6.5 and whose family annual income is not more than ₹8,00,000.
  • The scholarship amount is ₹5,000 per month for ten months of the academic year.
Prof. KV Venkatesha Murthy Scholarship
  • This scholarship is open to all the UG students of Electrical Engineering
  • This is a Merit-cum-Means scholarship and is awarded every year to one student who has a minimum CPI of 6.5 and whose family annual income is not more than ₹8,00,000.
  • The amount of the scholarship is ₹ 5,000 per month for ten months of the academic year

 

Dr. JL Nayyar Scholarship
  • This scholarship is open to all the fourth year students of the university
  • This is a Merit-Cum-Means scholarship and is awarded every year one student
  • The student who has demonstrated exemplary oral & written communication and presentation skills during the first three years of stay will be awarded this scholarship
  • The gross annual parental income of the student from all sources should not exceed ₹8 Lakhs per annum and the student should secure a minimum CPI of 6.5.
  • The scholarship amount is ₹ 5,000 per month for ten months of the academic year.
