GMERS Gandhinagar was established in 2012 and is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It is one of the fastest growing Medical colleges in India and is governed by the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society of Department of Health and Family Welfare. The college is spread out over 42 acres in the centre of Gandhinagar.

GMERS Medical College and Hospital Gandhinagar is affiliated to Gujarat University. GMERS Gandhinagar courses are offered in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery [MBBS] recognised by the Medical Council of India [MCI]. The college campus also has a 650-bed Teaching Hospital, Doctors and Nursing staff quarters, Boys and Girls Hostels, Playgrounds along with other facilities. It has a huge library equipped with the latest medical textbooks. The library has around 2,837 books and consists of 2 rooms able to seat 150 people each. Computer library is also provided for the students so that they can access E-Journals.
