Per semester there are 2-3 assignments, exams for each subject. Seminars presentations, Viva, practicals all are there in each semester. Method and quality of teaching are good but not at all excellent. There aren't any used for projectors during class. It is only used at the time of some presentation programme. My overall experience Is superb in this college.
The course fee is about ₹20,000(INR) per year or ₹10,000(INR) per semester. There are many scholarship options like Ishan Uday, minority, etc. At least 50% of students get scholarships. No, loans ate not needed.
I have not done any internship yet. I have done 3 training programmes like PLC, C, C++. There are many companies that come and hire most of the students. Don't know about highest salary and packages as it is strictly prohibited to reveal this fact to the students except from those who are appearing for the placement.
There is 7 boys hostel and one girl hostels recently another girl hostel is completed. Hostels are ragging free. About the hostel's food and infrastructure, Infrastructure is average. We get food in college and from the canteen. Quality of food is good. Quality of classrooms, labs, libraries are very good. Dining tables are not there. Only some good quality small tables are there in the canteen. Wifi is there in some particular places like the computer room, auditorium etc. Overall infrastructure is average or up to some extent good.
There are many clubs. Students Union body is very good and is easily approachable. The clubs are like energy club, entrepreneurs development club, AutoCAD club, etc. Tech festivals are there. However, the most popular festival is the college fest Pyrokinesis. Life in college is quite good.
The eligibility criteria are to get above 50% in higher secondary(class 12th exam) in the following subjects - a)physics b)chemistry c)mathematics. First of all, I cleared the exam called "combined Entrance exam or simply ASSAM CEE" after clearing the cutoff score which ranges from 130-300 out of 300 I became eligible to take a seat in this beautiful college. It's the first or we can say the oldest engineering college in Northeast region of India. I must say it's one of the best engineering colleges. After IIT Gauhati and NIT Silchar, each and everyone talks about AEC. After getting the seat for electrical the cutoff was about 147 out of 300.
