 About the Organizer :

Linnaeus University is a modern university in south-eastern Sweden that pursues teaching and research in two cities, Växjö and Kalmar. Linnaeus University is the 6th largest university in Sweden with more than 31,000 students in 150 degree programmes and 2,500 courses.

Around 40 programmes and 500 courses are given in English. We are known for our strong international profile. Every year more than 1,600 international students from over 50 countries come here to study.The study environment is characterized by modern facilities and an active student life with teaching and research staff in close proximity to students.

In 2014, we introduced Linnaeus University Summer Academy, an international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary summer academy – unique of its kind in Sweden. The courses originate in Swedish culture and an innovative mindset and range from language, globalization and entrepreneurship to sports, glass design, and sustainability.

This competition is brought to you exclusively in collabration with Sqore.com, a world leader in student competitions.

 Problem Statement:

The competition will be consisting of a Skill based challenge, having four sections which are:

  • The Numerical Reasoning Challenge wherein you will be asked 10 questions which have to be answered in 9 minutes 47 seconds
  • The Sweden Challenge wherein you will be asked 8 questions which have to be answered in 2 minutes 50 seconds
  • Motivational Statement wherein you write a short essay
  • Fill out the application form by giving your basic details

The shortlisted candidates will have a chance to win:

  • A Tuition Fee Waiver for Linnaeus University Summer Academy (2 tuition fee waivers will be given out to two different winners)
  • Winners will also get Repayment for flight tickets

Note:  The Summer Academy will be held between the 7th of July and the 12th of August 2016

 Rules and Guidelines:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Winners must be Indian citizens
  • Winners must have completed at least one year of university studies
  • Winners must have applied to the Summer Academy before 15th of February and paid the application fee of SEK 900 by 1st of March
  • Winners must abide by the application requirements of the host organization

Evaluation Guidelines: 

  • Winners will NOT get repayment for living costs
  • No prize alternatives or cash equivalents are offered
  • Prizes are non-transferable
  • The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to the acceptance of the prize
  • All users must provide submissions that the user has created him/herself
  • All users must provide personal information that is truthful and accurate
