About the Organizer :

KTH is a university with a rich history of pioneering ideas and innovation that dates back to 1827. For nearly 200 years, KTH has educated students who have gone on to influence our present and make the technological advances that define modern society.

It offers world-leading, high-impact research and education facilities and faculty. Studies at KTH extend beyond the campus buildings and are closely tied to the industry through research projects and ongoing collaborations.

 Problem Statement:

Students can participate in the KTH Master’s Challenge in five simple steps:

Step1: Register or log in and fill out your profile information.

Step2: Test your knowledge and skills in logical reasoning, knowledge of Sweden and KTH, and your academic background.

Step3: Complete a programme-related case study presented on the competition site.

Step4: Submit your motivational statement highlighting your motivation and unique character.

Step5: Apply to the KTH programme you have chosen through



Students will have a chance to win:

  • tuition fee waiver for a Master’s programme within Electric Power Engineering, Engineering Design, and Information and Network Engineering, worth approximately 2,300,000 INR
  • Top 3 candidates per programme will receive certificates of achievement and an invitation to the Award Ceremony in Bangalore

Other Rewards:

  • Social Media Award: The three participants with the highest number of recommendations collected on the Public Profile page will win KTH merchandise such as satchels and t-shirts

 Rules and Guidelines:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Participants in the KTH Master’s Challenge must be residents of India and eligible to study at the master’s level at KTH.
  • Indian citizens or legal Indian residents currently enrolled at an Indian university, or recent graduates holding a bachelor's degree from an Indian university (graduating no later than June 2017)
  • Indian students currently enrolled at KTH are not eligible to participate in the KTH Master's Challenge

Social Media Award Guidelines:

  • Tell the world about your participation in the KTH Master’s Challenge! Share the results of your performance in the quizzes and encourage your friends to show their support by writing a recommendation for you
  • All you need to do is share the link to your Public Profile page on social media and invite your friends to leave you a recommendation

Note: Participation in the Social Media Award is optional and will not affect your chances of winning the competition.
