The JEE Main schedule 2023 for the session 1 exam dates has been revised. The registration ended on 12 January 2023, and the exam is scheduled for 24 January to 1 February 2023. Further, knowing the dates helps in the preparation process as it aids the candidates in knowing the time available to prepare for the examination and thus create a proper study table. JEE Main is one of the largest competitive entrance examinations held in India. Proper preparation and a good knowledge of the schedule are important to qualify for the examination.

JEE Main 2023 Schedule
The JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in two sessions. The Union Ministry decided to allow candidates to attempt the exam twice in the same year and thus clear the examination. Keep checking this page for the latest JEE Main 2023 exam schedule updates.
NTA will conduct the exam in two sessions for 2023. The first session is being conducted in January and the second in April, for the two papers- Paper I and Paper II.

The officials declared the JEE Main schedule for the first session. The JEE Main April schedule will be released soon. However, in the table below, we will update the JEE Mains 2023 exam schedule as and when they are released.

JEE Main New Exam Schedule Timings 2023
Candidates must be aware of the schedule for JEE Mains 2023, the duration of the examination, the exam shift as well as the exact timing of the test. They can refer to the following table for the proper information on the JEE Main exam time schedule.

JEE Main Application Details 2023
For filling out the application form, candidates must register by providing the required details. There are two ways through which candidates can register for the exam. These are:
- New Registration
- Candidates must enter their details for completing the registration process.
- Name of Candidate
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Security Pin
- State of Eligibility
- Details of any identification ID- Aadhaar, Passport, College ID, Ration Card, Bank Details.
- Post completion of these details, candidates must create a secure password. They must select the security question & answer.
- Candidates must create a password of 8 to 13 characters.
- It must have one upper case, one lower case, and one numeric value.
- It must have at least one special character- [email protected]#$%^&*_.
- Candidates must enter their details for completing the registration process.
- Using JEE Main 2023 Login Credentials
- Candidates can log in using their JEE Main 2023 Login Credentials. They don’t need to enter the details. In case they want to modify their details, they can log in to the application window.
Changes in JEE Main Exam Pattern
Candidates must be aware that the authority has published the newly revised exam pattern of JEE Main since 2022. There are many differences in the old & new exam pattern of JEE Main.
- There will be three separate papers in the JEE Main exam pattern. These include B.Tech/ B.Arch/B.Planning. Earlier there was no separate exam held for the B.Planning paper.
- As per the changes, the number of questions in each question paper is:
- B.Tech - 75
- B.Arch - 77
- B.Planning -100
- Earlier, for the B.Tech paper, the total number of questions was 92, and for B.Arch & B.Planning, it was 82.
- The B.E./B.Tech Paper will comprise of 300 marks & B.Arch, B.Planning will separately comprise 400 marks. Earlier for the B.Tech paper, the marks allotted was 360 & for B.Arch, B.Planning, it was 390.
- There were no numerical value-based questions & planning-based MCQs in the exam paper. But the new pattern of the exam comprises these types of problems.
Answer Key for JEE Main 2023
The JEE Main answer key will be released by the NTA after the completion of the exam in PDF format. Candidates can visit the official website and access the same using their application number and password (login details).
The JEE Main answer key helps candidates understand and calculate possible scores and also gives them a chance to challenge the answers, with sufficient proof.
Counselling for JEE Main 2023
Candidates who will successfully clear the JEE Main can participate in the JEE Main 2023 counselling rounds. Then, the aspirants can take admission into institutions such as NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs for the B.E, B.Tech, B.Planning, and other offered courses based on their respective AIR.
However, the candidates need to meet the institute's eligibility criteria. In addition, they should have secured a minimum of 75% marks in their 12th standard board examination or be one among the top 20 percentile in their All India Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent. Nonetheless, the admission process for each institute shall differ from the other.
