YCMOU Admission 2024: Eligibility, Application Process & Dates

YCMOU admission 2024 is provided for UG, PG, PhD, certificate, and diploma courses in an array of fields. The 2024 admission will start from July 01, 2024. The last date to submit the application for fresh admissions for UG and PG programs, except the MBA course, is October 15, 2024. 

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University admission is based on merit or a candidate’s performance in the university-based entrance exam. Only candidates who meet YCMOU eligibility can proceed with applying for their desired course by filling out the application form.

For admission to courses like MBA, YCMOU conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET). Candidates are also shortlisted for MBA admission based on their CAT/MAT/MAHCET scores. Moreover, PhD Entrance Test (PET) scores are accepted for YCMOU PhD admission 2024. However, candidates with relevant scores in exams like UGC NET/CSIR NET/GATE need not appear for PET.

YCMOU PG Admission 2024

YCMOU PG admission is provided to candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with 45 to 50% marks. For MBA admission to YCMOU, candidates are required to clear the MBA CET conducted by the university. Alternatively, CAT/MAT/MAH CET scores are also considered for MBA admission.

YCMOU Certificate Courses Admission 2024

• Total Fee: INR 2,690 to INR 12,610  
• Eligibility Criteria: The candidates are eligible for the Certificate Courses at YCMOU if they have passed the 10+2 level exam.
• Selection Criteria: The candidates are selected for these courses on a merit basis.  

YCMOU Diploma Courses Admission 2024

YCMOU also provides admission to diploma and advanced diploma courses in areas such as Fine Arts, Hospitality Management, Fashion Design, Interior Design, and many others. Find more information below:

• Eligibility Criteria: 10th or 10+2 level exam, depending on the course opted for.
• Selection Criteria: Merit-basis.  

YCMOU Doctoral Admission 2024

YCMOU admission 2024 is provided for PhD courses in a variety of specialisations wherein candidates can opt for any of the fields based on their area of interest. The fee and YCMOU admission criteria for PhD admission are elucidated below:

• Eligibility Criteria: Master's degree with an aggregate of 55% marks in a relevant field from a recognised university or have an M.Phil in the concerned subject
• Selection Criteria: Valid score in PET or UGC-NET (including JRF /SLET/GATE) 

YCMOU Application Process 2024

Candidates seeking admission to YCMOU can apply online on the university’s website and fill out the YCMOU application form, along with paying the application fee as per the YCMOU fee structure. Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University admission is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the last qualifying examination and for some courses, the scores in the entrance examinations are considered.
