DU Application Form

The application process for all the programs offered by the University is done online. The Application Form for Delhi University can be found on the official website of the university.

  1. Visit the official website of the University.
  2. Click on the admission tab.
  3. If new user, register to provide your Name, Email ID and Phone Number. 
  4. Login using the registered Email ID and password.
  5. Fill the application form providing personal, academic and other necessary details.
  6. Selecting the desired courses.
  7. Upload a scanned copy of all the documents asked.
  8. Pay the application fee and submit.

The following documents should be scanned and kept ready before starting up the IGNOU online admission process:

  • Passport size photo
  • Signature 
  • 10th and 12th mark sheet
  • Caste certificate

University of Delhi Admission Fees

For different courses, depending on the course duration and other factors, the Delhi University fee structure varies.

  • The DU fee structure for B.Sc courses is usually INR 10,000/- per annum to INR 16,000/- per annum, depending on the course of choice.

Delhi University Entrance Exam

The Entrance Exam for admission in undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D courses in the University of Delhi is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Performance in the exam is the basis of eligibility for some of the courses offered at DU.

The Hall Ticket for the entrance exam of DU will be made available on the official website of the college. 

  1. Go to the official website of the University of Delhi.
  2. Click on “Online Registration”.
  3. Log in using your Registered Email and password.
  4. Click on the link provided for admit card downloads.
  5. The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Download and print the admit card in the A4 size sheet.

Delhi University Entrance Exam Syllabus

There is no prescribed syllabus for the Entrance Exam for most courses at the University of Delhi. The questions are designed to test the candidate’s general aptitude and analytical ability. For postgraduate courses, the Entrance Exam consists of questions from the undergraduate course which is a prerequisite for the applied course.

  • For Msc Microbiology there are 12 seats in Department of Microbiology, University of Delhi. 6 seats are based on merit basis and the remaining 6 through an entrance examination conducted by the university.

Eligibility criteria is a student must have pass 10 + 2 with PCM for which he must be eligible for BSC I did not give any entrance examination I took admission directly into the course the cutoff can go to 85% sometimes but it depends on the category in which a person must belong to.

The fee structure and the admission procedure for Delhi Univesity is given below, 

Admission Procedure:

Eligibility Criteria/Education Qualification: 

Candidates must have passed Class XII of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent.

List of B.tech courses offered by DU:

  • B.Tech in Computer Science
  • B.Tech in Electronics
  • B.Tech in Food Technology
  • B.Tech in Instrumentation
  • B.Tech in Polymer Science
  • B.Tech in Psychological Sciences
  • B.Tech in Forensic Science (subject to approval)

Selection Procedure:

  • For B.Tech in Computer Science: Best four academic subjects including Mathematics (only one language to be considered). The students, who have studied Physics, Chemistry/computer science and Mathematics, will be given 5% additional weight age.

Application procedure:

DU provide both online and offline application procedure.

Online Application:

  • B.Tech 2016 Admissions Application Form is common for all the courses listed in the form and valid for all colleges.
  • The candidates are advised to fill in Delhi University B.Tech 2016 Admissions Application Form for the respective courses that are meant for their category only.
  • Any incomplete application will be summarily rejected.

Online application fee:

o   General Category- Rs.100/-

o   SC/ST Category- Rs.50/-

Offline Application:

Fee structure
