DU Application Form

The application process for all the programmes offered by University of Delhi is online.

  • The Application Form for Delhi University can be found on the official website of the university.
  • The candidates must register using the New Registration link and providing their Name, Email ID, Phone Number and other necessary details.
  • The applicant can login using their registered Email ID and password and start the application process by filling out their personal, academic and other necessary details and selecting their desired courses.
  • Scanned copies of the applicant’s passport size photo, signature, 10th and 12th marksheet and other relevant documents are required to complete the application process.
  • The application fee depends on the candidate’s choice of courses and payment can be made online.

University of Delhi Admission Fees

  • For different courses, depending on the course duration and other factors, University of Delhi fee structure varies.
  • The DU fee structure for B.Sc courses is usually INR 10,000/- per annum to INR 16,000/- per annum, depending on the course of choice.

Delhi University Entrance Exam

The Entrance Exam for admission in undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D courses in the University of Delhi is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Performance in the exam is the basis of eligibility for some of the courses offered at DU.

  • There is no prescribed syllabus for the Entrance Exam for most courses at the University of Delhi. The questions are designed to test the candidate’s general aptitude and analytical ability.

  • Applicants are advised to go through previous years’ question papers and solve sample question papers in order to get a better understanding of the question paper pattern.

  • For Msc Microbiology there are 12 seats in Department of Microbiology, University of Delhi. 6 seats are based on merit basis and the remaining 6 through an entrance examination conducted by the university.
  • Eligibility for entrance examination is Bsc general or Hons in any branch of life sciences or medical sciences from any UGC recognized university with a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam.
  • For merit basis, the eligibility is Bsc Hons Microbiology from the university of Delhi with a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam.
  • Cut-offs vary. For the year 2016 entrance examination 72 was the highest score.

The fee structure and the admission procedure for Delhi Univesity is given below, 

Admission Procedure:

Eligibility Criteria/Education Qualification: 

Candidates must have passed Class XII of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent.

List of B.tech courses offered by DU:

  • B.Tech in Computer Science
  • B.Tech in Electronics
  • B.Tech in Food Technology
  • B.Tech in Instrumentation
  • B.Tech in Polymer Science
  • B.Tech in Psychological Sciences
  • B.Tech in Forensic Science (subject to approval)

Selection Procedure:

  • For B.Tech in Computer Science: Best four academic subjects including Mathematics (only one language to be considered). The students, who have studied Physics, Chemistry/computer science and Mathematics, will be given 5% additional weight age.

Application procedure:

DU provide both online and offline application procedure.

Online Application:

  • B.Tech 2016 Admissions Application Form is common for all the courses listed in the form and valid for all colleges.
  • The candidates are advised to fill in Delhi University B.Tech 2016 Admissions Application Form for the respective courses that are meant for their category only.
  • Any incomplete application will be summarily rejected.

Online application fee:

o   General Category- Rs.100/-

o   SC/ST Category- Rs.50/-

Offline Application:

  • For offline application form there will be separate OMR sheet for candidates belonging to General, OBC category and ST, SC and PWD

Fee structure
