Application Process:

  • The application form is available on the University website.

  • The candidate can register with the Login ID & Password.

  • The candidate will get the login details with the registered Mail ID.

  • The candidate can log in with the ID & Password.

  • The candidate can take print out of the bank slip.

  • The candidate can deposit the fee for INR 3250/-(INR 1625/- for ST/ ST) using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip.

  • The candidate can again login with the ID & fill the application form as per the requirements.

  • The candidate can take print out of the application form.

  • The admission process is based on CAT Entrance Examination & Counseling will be held on the Merit-based marks on the Previous Qualifying Examination.

  • The provisional candidate can go for the GD & PI conducted by UBS, Chandigarh.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA

In order to get admission in UBS, Chandigarh, the candidate should have passed Bachelor's Degree/ CA/ ICWA/ CS with 50% marks
Or
Diploma Examination with 60% marks and have at least 5 years research/ teaching or professional experience. 
Or
Bachelors degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages (Hindi/ Urdu/ Punjab) or in a Classical Language (Sanskrit/ Persian/ Arabic) or degree of any other University with 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers in Language excluding the additional optional papers English and Elective subject has taken together.

STEPS TO FOLLOW :

  1. Read carefully UBS Handbook of Information.
  2. Register Online. [last date for registration: February 13, 2017 (Monday)].
  3. Note down your Login Id and Password (login details will be sent to your registered Email Id also).
  4. Take print out of bank slip (bank slip can also be downloaded from account using login id and password).
  5. Deposit fee using website generated bank slip at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of bank slip. [last date for submission of fee in any SBI branch: February 20, 2017 (Monday)].
  6. Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information. Complete each section ( Profile, Categories, Academic Qualification) carefully and lock each section. (Once you lock the section, you will not be allowed to change information in that section). [last date for completion of form: February 27, 2017 (Monday)]
  7. Take print out of the application form and submit/send it along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the print out of the application form. [last date for submission of hard copy of application form & documents: March 06, 2017 upto 4:00 p.m. ].

General Category Rs. 2500/-
SC/ST/PwD Category Rs. 1250/-



NOTE :

  • In no case the Registration fee, once paid, shall be refunded.
  • If more than 24 Hrs. have passed after printing the fee slip and your details are not found in bank for despositing fee, write to ubsadmissions@pu.ac.in mentioning your problem along with application no., name and date of birth.
  • Candidates are required to submit the copy of printout of their filled Application form along with the requisite documents (mentioned on the print out of application form) to Assistant Registrar, University Business School, Arts Block - III, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post/speed post or by hand on or before March 06, 2017 upto 4:00 p.m.
  • Mere login id creation OR deposit of fee does not mean that candidate has completed his/her online application form. Incomplete form leads to cancellation of candidature. Any request for completion of form after due date will not be entertained at all.
  • Provisional list of qualified candidates for GD/PI, schedule for GD/PI and other information will be available on this website.

What is the Admission Procedure for USB Chandigarh and important dates regarding the process ?

My daughter completed B. Tech in E & C Engineering during the 2014-15 session with 7.4 CGPA. She intends to pursue MBA in IT or HR domain, Kindly intimate the criteria for admission in USB Chandigarh along with admission related important dates.

Hii..Ved, Admission for these courses will be made on the basis of merit determined byscores of the candidates in Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI). candidates are advised to visit UBS admission website for detailed instructions & procedure for participation in the admission process ,hard copy of the application alongwith necessary documents should reach UBS admin separately. The candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview on the basis of their score in the CAT subject to the condition that they secure a minimum 10% score (5% in case of SC/ST/BC) candidates) in eachcomponent of CAT viz., quantitative logic & data interpretation, and verbal, and/or any other component which may be added later at any stage tothe CAT, Final Merit List of all the candidates called and appeared for GD & PI will beprepared category-wise on the basis of their combined aggregate score in the CAT , Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Impartant Dates:

Online registration starts on December 1st week
Last date of submission of information on the website to generate the Bank Challan December last week
Last date of submission of fee in any branch of State Bank of India using website generated challan January 1st week
Last date for uploading of photograph, signature with rest of the information on the website after depositing fee in SBI January 2nd week
Last date for submission of hard copy of the application form along with the requisite documents (mentioned on the application form print out) to office of UBS January 3rd week
