The cutoff for open caste students is very high; but if you come under any reserved caste or Christian minority, it is easy to get in. Difference between Christian minority and the non-christian minority is around 25%. There is no need for any entrance exam for B.Sc. Admission is based on 12 standard mark sheet.

Hi Anshul,

Admissions:

  1. Admission of students into the Autonomous Degree Courses will be on the basis of the aggregate marks in the qualifying examination or its equivalent, for both the Undergraduate Courses and the Masters Courses, unless specified otherwise.  The quota system as specified by the Government of Maharashtra will be followed for Minority, Backward Class and other candidates.
  2. For the BMS & BMM Courses, unlike other courses, the students come from all 3 faculties (Arts, Science & Commerce) where the marking systems are very different.  Hence an Entrance Test for these courses will be conducted for admission purposes.  Admissions to the BMS & BMM will be on the basis of the entrance test: 60%, an interview: 20% and the XII Std. marks: 20%.

The M.Sc Life Sciences programme will also have an Entrance Test for admission and the M.A. in Ancient Indian Culture will hold an Entrance Test for students from faculties other than Arts.

  1. All applications for admissions to any undergraduate or postgraduate Degree Course should be submitted by the date notified by the College. Late applications may not be accepted.
  2. Admissions can be considered to be granted only when the full fees for the academic year are paid, an official receipt has been issued and the name of the applicant appears on the relevant rolls. Payment in full or in part can be condoned or deferred by the Principal.
  3. All admissions, both of undergraduates and post-graduates, are valid only for one year and are therefore to be renewed for each subsequent year of study. Students who misbehave and have serious complaints of indiscipline against them during the year will not be re-admitted to the College.
  4. No student will ordinarily be re-admitted to the College after three unsuccessful attempts at the same examination or after s/he has not been granted terms by the College in two successive years.

Provisional Eligibility Certificate
