SN Medical College, Agra was established in 1854 by Britishers. The college is one of the oldest colleges affiliated with Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Agra, and approved by the Medical Council of India [MCI]. 

SN Medical College, Agra named after the first lady Governess of Uttar Pradesh poetess and freedom fighter, Bharat Kokila Smt. Sarojini Naidu, the Institute is situated in the city of Taj and the heart of Agra. It is one of the first three medical colleges in the country.

The institute offers an MBBS course, this course is for 4 and half years of duration for the candidates who have passed the NEET- UG Entrance exam. The Institute also offers a PG Diploma program for 2 years and MD/MS courses which are for 3 years of duration.

The institute offers PG courses and diplomas for all candidates. MBBS course is 4.5 years of program which is followed up by the one year of internship. The course is divided into 3 mandatory phases:

•  Pre-Clinical Phase
• Para-Clinical Phase
• Clinical Phase

PG Diploma and MD/MS courses are also offered by this institute. For all these courses qualification of the entrance exam is needed for all the candidates.

How to apply at SN Medical College

Candidates need to give the NEET-UG & NEET-PG entrance exam for getting admission to this institute. All the candidates must need to appear for the counseling process.

Counselling Procedure for AQI Quota.

Applicants who are applying for Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh must have to register themselves for the NEET counseling 2020. The counseling is conducted online in two rounds:

• Register themselves at the official website of counseling
• Round 1 Choice Filling and Locking/ Seat Allotment: Applicants need to select the college according to their preferences. Then the seats are allotted to the students according to the availability of seats.
• After the seat allotment candidates need to go to college with all the candidates.
• Round 2: For all the candidates who could not register in round 1, the second round of choice filling, locking, and seat allotment is conducted

SN Medical College - UG and PG Courses (MBBS Program)

SNMC offers the MBBS program which is a 4.5 year-long program that is to be followed by one year of mandatory internship.

The MBBS is divided into three phases, namely:

• Pre-Clinical Phase: This is for the one year of duration. Candidates study the subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry.
• Para-Clinical Phase: This is for the last one and half years of duration. Candidates study the subjects like Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology and Social & Preventive 

Medicine/Community Medicine etc.

• Clinical Phase: This is for the last two years of duration and also it is the last phase of MBBS. In this Phase, candidates study the subjects like Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, E.N.T., Community Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics

PG Diploma 

SN Medical College also offers 2 years of diploma program in 11 different specializations. This course is open for all the candidates who have done 12th with a recognized board.

Anaesthesiology, Clinical Psychiatry, ENT, Obstetrics Gynaecology, Pharmacy, Paediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, Radio Therapy, Ophthalmology, Skin & VD, TB & chest diseases

MD And MS 

SN Medical College offers 2 postgraduate diploma courses in different specializations. All are for 3 years of duration. MD course is available in 13 different specializations and MS course is available in 9 different specializations.

Courses and Eligibility Criteria

SN Medical College offers mainly three types of courses. A full time four and half years of MBBS course. 2 year of full-time PG Diploma and their years of MD/MS full-time course. For getting admission to this institute candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized board. 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of education. The age limit of candidates should be a minimum of 17 years of age. There is age relaxation is given for 5 years for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.

Note: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen

Eligibility Criteria for MS/MD Degree

Candidates must be graduated with MBBS Degree and also down one year of internship.

Selection criteria

• The admission to the MBBS course of SNMC is merit based on the marks secured in the NEET-UG entrance exams.
• Candidates are invited to the admission process if they qualify for the college cutoffs.
• Then they need to attend counseling and book seats. 

For MS, MD

Candidates who have cleared the NEET-UG entrance exam are eligible to apply for the course.

Seat Availability

For its flagship MBBS degree, each year, a total of 123 students are enrolled in SNMC College.

Reservation 

10% of wavier are given to the candidates who are from SC/ST and OBC category. So, if they have 40% marks in 10+2 (PCB).

SN Medical College [SNMC] Agra 

SN Medical College Agra admissions are mainly based on the NEET-PG and NEET-UG Entrance exam scores card. SMC Agra offers courses like MD, MBBS, PG Diploma, MS. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks to apply for the NEET exam.

Once all the process will clear by candidates then they need to appear for the documentation clarification round. To complete the admission process, candidates are required to visit the college with all the documents to lock seats.

Entrance Exam

For the postgraduate course, candidates need to qualify NEET-PG entrance exam and for getting admission in the Undergraduate course candidates need to qualify NEET-UG Entrance exam. candidates have to qualify for one of these entrance exams to get admission to these courses.

Preparation tips

Prepare for the entrance exam and download the syllabus from the respective website of the entrance exams. The Entrance Exams are very tough so prepare accordingly. 

Hall Ticket/Admit Card

The admit card for the entrance exam will be downloaded from the official website of the institute before the one or two weeks of Exams. Carry at least one identity proof at the time of the exam.

Results

The result for the entrance exam will be uploaded to the official website of the exams. The final selection list of institutes will also be displayed in the college as well as uploaded on the official website.

Tips for a successful admission process

Get all the documents ready for the admission process. It is the critical process of admission but doesn’t panic follow all the instructions in advance to avoid problems. Make 4 copies of documents and arrange them in a sequence given by the Institute.
