Hi Ajay,

B.Ed. Admission Process:

  • The admission process serves as a gateway to many higher education opportunities and successful careers in a student’s life. The importance of transparency and fairness in admission process cannot be over- emphasized.
  • The institution’s admission process follows the criteria laid down by the Director of Higher Education, Maharashtra government and the admission process is as per the Govt. directives. The institution is a Gujarati linguistic minority (ref GR NGC2004/(41/04)CE-3 dated 16th February, 2004). Hence 50% of the admissions are done directly through the institution as per rules and regulations and merit that apply and the balance through Government Centralized procedures. Open category students have to follow centralized procedures once the advertisement is released in local newspapers.
  • To secure admission in the college with English medium of instruction the candidate needs to take a English Language Content Test.

 Rules and Regulations:

Since the college is affiliated to University of Mumbai, all rules and regulations laid down by the University apply.

Admission committee:

The college forms an admission committee of staff members headed by the Principal, to ensure a fair and transparent process. This committee is in charge of the admission process and ensures that all the norms as laid down by Directorate of Education, Government of Maharashtra are followed.

All prospective Gujarati Linguistic minority students who have qualified the government CET for B.Ed are given admission forms and a copy of the prospectus. The completed forms are received, merit list is displayed and students are called for an interview based on the merit list. This whole process is transparent, merit based and adhering to the prescribed norms. A check to ensure that all the student applicants truly represent the claim of linguistic minority is checked by the admission committee through their certificates, affidavits and communication through a face to face interview.

B.Ed CET Orientation Programme:

Every year, the college conducts a CET Orientation programme for B.Ed aspirants. This programme gives a detailed account of the admission process including orientation to the different sections of the CET. Some practice sessions are conducted and study material is also handed out. We are usually overbooked for this programme.

Students desirous of joining the institution can visit us and pick up a copy of the prospectus from college office.
