Eligibility Criteria for MBA

  • Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks to get through the Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology admissions 2019.

  • SC/ST and Cat-I students can apply for the program with 45% marks.

  • The applicant must have a minimum of three years work experience if they are applying for part-time MBA.

  • The student must appear for KMAT and obtain a valid score for the eligibility of the program.

  • Karnataka students must appear for the PGCET conducted the Visveswaraya Technological University.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA

  • Graduates from any discipline from a recognized university are eligible for the program.

  • The student must have scored at least 50% marks in degree level to be eligible for the program.

  • The candidate must have studied any one of the following subjects as an elective subject in graduation: Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics.

  • The student will be considered eligible for the admission if they have cleared the above-mentioned subjects in 12th standard with 50% marks.

  • Students belonging to SC/ST or Cat-I can apply with 45% marks in that subject.

  • Applicants must qualify KMAT with valid scores.

  • Candidates must appear for PGCET conducted by VTU.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc

M.Sc Engineering:

  • The applicant must have completed Engineering (BE / B.Tech) in any stream from a recognized university.

  • Candidates who possess a B.Sc degree must belong to the Computer Science background to apply for the program.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech

Candidates must have scored minimum 50% marks in engineering from a recognized university.

The program is open for candidates belonging to Mechanical / Industrial Engineering & Management / Industrial Engineering & Manufacturing / Industrial & Production Engineering / Automobile Engineering background.

M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Candidate must possess engineering degree in Electronics & Communication / Telecom / Electrical & Electronics / Instrumentation Technology / Computer Science & Engineering / Information Science & Engineering / Medical Electronics & Bio-Medical Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria for Other Courses.

BE:

  • The student must have passed Higher Secondary School examination from a recognized board.

  • Physics and Mathematics should have been the major subjects in 12th standard.

  • The student should have studied Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics as optional subjects.

  • English must be one of the languages in 10+2.

  • A minimum of 45% marks must be scored in the optional subjects.

  • Students must qualify any one of the entrance exams i.e, CET (Common Entrance Test) or COMED-K with valid scores.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • If you want admission in this college you can apply for kcet and comedy. To apply for kcet one should have passed his / her 10+2 in Karnataka for other states comedk is held.
  • In the year 2014 cutoff for cs branch was around 2800 and a year before that it was around 5-6k .
  • Cutoff for cs branch in comedk in 2014 was around 2900.

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process
  • There are no eligibility criteria to get into Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology but you can apply only after your 12th boards.
  • There is an entrance exam called CET(Common entrance test) which is only for the students of Karnataka. I got admission through COMEDk. I had a rank around 4200 and got ISE in Sir MVIT on my 2nd round of counseling.
  • The typical cutoff is around 80 percentage. I had an aggregate of 82% in the first year and I got my branch changed to CSE in Sir MVIT itself. Currently, I am in my 3rd year of CSE in Sir MVIT. Other than these two examinations there are some seats for the management category.

  • COMEDK entrance examination has to be taken  to get into SMVIT, Bangalore.
  • The typical cutoff is based on the marks in the entrance exams.

Hi Guys, SMVIT Admits Students through KCET, COMEDK UGET and through Management quotas but I would recommend everyone to try to get in CS, EC and IS as there is a Complete 100% placement facility,

KCET, COMEDK UGET are the Entrance exams to get admission in Sir MVIT COLLEGE The cutoff ranks are higher for CS, IS and EC but in the case of Civil and Mechanical, the ranks are Lower like 20000 for OBC.

The Eligibility Criteria is normal like 40% of marks in PU Science or 12th but to get into CS Department at Sir MVIT you need to have very good rank less than 3000 at both KCET and COMEDK UGET.

Eligibility Criteria is minimum marks at 12th standard or equivalent class. The entrance exams to be taken are KCET and COMEDK UGET. The cutoffs are a bit tough to get in to EE branch at SIRMVIT.
