IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE TEST

Guidelines for Online Test

- The Online Test is scheduled as per the dates declared in the Admission Calendar of 2016.

- Logins will be accepted latest till 10.20 a.m. in respective shifts but log out time will remain the same.

- Each candidate is allowed only one attempt of the Online Test. If the candidate wishes to appear again, she will have to pay the examination fees again.

- After registration for Online Test and payment of Rs.2500/-, the candidate will get a username, password and 20 practice questions (mock test) to solve within 7 days from registration. The candidate is directed to use the same username and password for the Online Test.

- The candidate has to select the convenient slot for appearing for online test.

- In case if there is a power failure or internet connection failure, the candidate can appear for the next schedule / shift. In this case the candidate will have to inform the SOFT Administration about the same within 30 minutes. Then only the candidate can again log in for test in the next shift. That time the candidate will be provided only with the balance questions from the online test. It is not necessary to give the entire test once again.

- After the Online Test the candidate will have to appear for the Studio Test / Group Discussion and Personal Interview which are scheduled at School Of Fashion Technology, Pune The candidates who are applying for design courses i.e. for FDCT, B. Design, FAD should appear for Studio Test and Personal Interview after the Online Test as per the schedule mentioned on the website.

- The candidates who are appearing for FDCT-1 Year course should appear only for Personal Interview.

- The candidates who are appearing for FDCT-1 Year course should appear only for Personal Interview.

- A candidate, who has cleared the SOFT-NIFT-CET, should appear only for personal interview.

- They will have to produce a documentary evidence of the clearance of NIFT CET The students who are applying for non-design course i.e. Apparel Production & Merchandising Management should appear for Group Discussion & Personal Interview after the Online Test as per the schedule mentioned on the website.

- The material required for the Studio Test is – Colours of any medium (poster colours, wax crayons, sketch pens, colour pencils), Drawing pencils / Eraser, etc. Rest of the material will be provided by SOFT.

- Insufficient score in the online test does not mean the cancellation of the candidature.

- After the declaration of the Merit List the candidate must confirm her interest in taking admission within 4 days to SOFT by e-mail to admission@soft.ac.in or admin@soft.ac.in failing which the seat may go to the wait-listed candidate.

- SOFT Management reserves the right to make the change in admission calendar. The concerned candidates will be informed accordingly in advance.

ADMISSION AND FACILITIES FOR DISABLED STUDENTS

- The admission preference is given to the differently abled students.

- For Such students the ramp and lift provision is made in the college.

-  The mentors give additional time especially after their teaching hours.

-  There is provision of writers if required during examination.

- Extra time is provided for assignments.

Reservation policy shall be applicable for Admissions as per State Government of Maharashtra for SC/ST/NT/SBC candidates  but scholarship and freeship shall be applicable only for the Scheduled Caste (SC) category students from Maharashtra. 

The Online Test will contain following sections

Verbal/Non-verbal reasoning 15 questions 15 marks
Analytical Ability 15 questions 15 marks
Creative Ability 15 questions 15 marks
