Sacred Heart College is situated in Kochi in Kerala state of India. Established in 1944, it's accredited from NAAC and it's affiliated to Gandhi University. SHC, Kochi offers 40 courses across 6 streams namely Arts, Science, Commerce and Banking, Hotel Management, Design, Media and Mass Communication and across 10 degrees like BSc, BA, B.Com, and MSc, MA. Sacred Heart College offers UG courses in 16 specializations under five different streams - Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Sacred Heart College provides postgraduate courses to candidates with 15 different specializations under art, science and commerce streams. All the PG courses offered by the school are of three years duration.

Sacred Heart College offers two differing types of research courses - M.Phil. And Ph.D. The M.Phil. Courses are of 1 year consisting of two semesters. Subjects offered for M.Phil. are Economics, Commerce and Physics.
The college also offers Ph.D. courses for 6 different specializations that include Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Physics, and Zoology. For admissions to the Ph.D. programmes, one should qualify the subsequent eligibility criteria:
Candidates should possess a Postgraduate degree in any discipline from MG University or the other university which is taken into account as the same by MGU, with a minimum of 55% aggregate. Candidates awaiting the results of PG degree also can apply for the programme
Candidates with MBBS/ BAHMS/ BHMS /BDS degree should have a minimum of fifty aggregate.
