RR Institute of Modern Technology, (RRIMT) Lucknow offers admission to Diploma programmes in different streams. It offers Diploma [Polytechnic] in Engineering programmes with an intake strength of 60 seats in each branch. Diploma 2nd-year [Lateral Entry] admission is also provided for all Engineering programmes with an intake strength of 6 seats in each branch. Apart from that, R.R Institute of Modern Technology, [RRIMT] Lucknow also offers admission to Diploma in Elementary Education [B.T.C]. The programme is of 2-years with a total intake of 50 seats. 

R.R Institute of Modern Technology Diploma Eligibility Criteria

For admission to first-year Diploma [Polytechnic] programmes, candidates must have passed high school examination of UP board or 10th examination or equivalent from any recognized board with a minimum percentage of marks at high school with Mathematics or Science as subjects. They are required to pass the qualifying examination without any grace marks. Candidates seeking Diploma in Engineering [Lateral Entry] admission must have to pass intermediate or 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum percentage of marks. Admission to Diploma in Elementary Education is also based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Admissions for Diploma [Polytechnic] programmes are done through JEECUP counseling/ RR Entrance Exam or merit in the qualifying exam [35% at high school with Maths or Science]. The basic selection process for Diploama [Lateral Entry] is also conducted on merit-basis or marks obtained in the last qualifying examination [50%/ 45% (SC/ ST) in 10+2]. Admission to Diploma in Elementary Education [B.T.C] is also based on merit.

R.R Institute of Modern Technology offers admission to B.Tech programmes in various streams such as Agriculture Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, IT, etc. 

The seat intake varies for each program. Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering provides an intake strength of 120 seats in each branch. All other B.Tech programmes such as Agriculture Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, IT, EC, ME, CE, EE have an intake strength of 60 seats each.

B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission

Admission to all programmes requires merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech 2nd-year [Lateral Entry] must have passed B.Sc or three-year Diploma [10+3]. Applicants must have scored at least 45% marks [40% for SC/ ST]. 

RRIMT Selection Process

Admission to the programmes is done based on merit. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination [Direct/ merit basis], UPSEE or RR Entrance Exam.

RRIMT offers admission to B.Arch which is a 5-year full-time programme. The programme comprises 10 semesters focusing on the subjects from the fields of engineering, arts, and technology to the professional practice of architecture. The seat intake provided for B.Arch is 30.

Admission to B.Arch programme requires at least 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent. Candidates applying for the programme must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics [PCM] at 10+2 and obtained 50% marks aggregate along with Computer/ Chemistry/ Biology or Biotechnology as optional subjects. Those who have passed Diploma in Architecture [10+3] are also eligible to apply for admission.

B.Arch programme has been approved by Council of Architecture, Government of India. Admission to the programme is done based on merit in the qualifying examination followed by scores obtained in UPSEE/ NATA [National Aptitude Test in Architecture] or RR Entrance Exam.

RRIMT, Lucknow also provides admission to MBA programme with specializations in different streams. The institute provides a total intake of 60 seats in each branch. It is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course for the students who want to pursue their career in the field of management. The specializations offered under MBA admission are Marketing, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, International Businesss, and Finance.

Candidates seeking admission to MBA programmes must have cleared the eligibility criteria for admission. Applicants must have passed graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks [45% for SC/ ST]. Admission is done based on merit, UPSEE or RR Entance Exam.

Admission Process for RR Institute of Modern Technology, (RRIMT) Lucknow Admission 2024

The selection process will be based on two rounds. First, the candidate will have to match the cut off of the college with their actual entrance exam scores. The students would have to fill the form so that the college can shortlist its desired candidates. Once the candidates are shortlisted, the college will call them for a GD-PI round for management degree whereas, for engineering degrees, the student has to go for the counselling round for the admission. UPSEE counselling is followed by the college.
