Regional Institute of Education (RIE) is a constituent unit of National Educational of Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. The college was established in the year 1961 as an autonomous organization registered under the Societies Registration Act (Act XXI of 1860) to advise and assist the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Institute offers innovative Pre-service Professional Training Programmes to prepare School Teachers and Teacher Educators of Elementary Training Institutes. The institution is affiliated to Utkal University and accredited by NAAC.

Courses Offered by RIE

RIE Bhubaneshwar offers B.Ed, M.Ed, M.Phil in Education and one year Diploma courses. The college offers 2 year B.Ed in the field Science and 4 year integrated B.Ed in Science stream. The specialisation of each courses is as follows:

RIE Application Form

The application form for the courses will be available in the official website after the announcement of the admission. Candidates can apply online through the RIE bbsr e - admission portal after the admission announcement.

• Go to the RIE website and select online admission (e - admission) link.
• Select the course and Register to create login details. 
• Log in to the application form using login details.
• Fill up the application form.
• Pay the application fee through “SB Collect” and get SB collect number.
• Fill the payment details in the application form.
• Submit the application form and take a print out.
• Send the printout along with SB collect e - receipt to the college address.

RIE Admission Fee

Candidates selected for RIE Bhubaneswar admission 2024 - 2021, can pay the fee based on the RIE fee structure. At the time of admission candidates have to pay the admission fee and caution deposit.

• Candidates have to pay the admission fee INR 500/- per semester.
• Total annual fee is INR 15,225/- inclusive of Institution fee, Caution Deposit and University Fee.
• Tuition fee for M.Phil courses is 5000/- per annum.
• Students have to pay hostel fee Separately. 

Entrance Exams Accepted by RIE

For admission at Regional College, Bhubaneswar, candidates have to appear a Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the NCERT. Candidates who are applying for M.Phil in Education courses are advised to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the college. 

• For B.Ed, B.Sc.B.Ed, BA.B.Ed and M.Ed courses, candidates should have appear CEE conducted by the NCERT.
• For M.Phil courses, the college will conduct an Entrance Test. Candidates should have qualified the examination for M.Phil admission.

RIE CEE Application Form

For RIE Common Entrance Examination candidates have to apply online through the official website of NCERT. Candidates who are applying for Regional B.Ed Entrance 2024, should have a valid score in the entrance examination. The application form will be available online.

• Register online using required details and generate Login ID and Password.
• Log in to the application form and fill all mandatory fields.
• Submit the application form before the last date.
• Take a print out of the application form for further requirements.

RIE CEE Hall Ticket

Candidates who are applied for the RIE Common Entrance Examination, can download the hall ticket from the official website before the last date. 

• Log in to the RIE CEE website using Login ID and Password.
• Go to the hall tickets link.
• Click on download the hall ticket and take a printout.
• Candidates should bring the hall ticket at the time of exam. Candidates without hall ticket are not allowed in the exam hall.

RIE CEE Result

The result will be published on the NCERT website. Aspirants can check the result online and qualified candidates are eligible for the admission procedures.

• Go to the CEE results link
• Log in to the page using Login ID and Password.
• If you are qualified for the examination you are eligible for the RIE admission process.
• The selection will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.

RIE Entrance Test

For M.Phil admission at RIE Bhubaneswar, candidates have to qualify an Entrance Test conducted by the Institution. This is a Viva - Voce Examination.Candidates can apply online through the e - admission portal of RIE. The application form will be available before the last date of submission.

• Go to the RIE e - admission portal.
• Click on “M.Phil in Education” link.
• Fill the application with all required details and submit it.
• Application fee is 900/- rupees except PH / SC / ST candidates
• The examination date will be published in the official page.
• Candidates can check the result online after publishing.
• Selected candidates are eligible for admission. The admission will be based on the Viva - Voce Examination marks.

RIE UG Admission 2024

The college offers 4 years integrated courses BA.B.Ed and B.Sc.B.Ed and also offers 2 year B.Ed courses in Science and Arts stream. Candidates should have a valid score in the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) conducted by the NCERT. The admission for regional B.Ed courses is based on the marks scored in the Entrance Examination.

RIE UG Eligibility

For Regional B.Ed 2024 admission, candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination in Arts / Science / Commerce stream and a degree in Arts / Science. Candidates should have qualify the CEE examination.

RIE PG Admission 2024

RIE offers Masters in Education (M.Ed) to the postgraduates. Candidates should have appear an Entrance Examination conducted by the college. Based on the entrance examination result the candidates will be selected.

RIE PG Eligibility

Candidates should have a Postgraduate degree in Arts / Science with 50%marks in aggregate and B.Ed with 50% marks / BA.B.Ed or B.Sc. BEd with 50% marks in aggregate and in the education component.

RIE PG M.Phil Admission 2024

The college offers M.Phil in Education course to the Postgraduate students. Candidates who fulfill the below given eligibilities can apply for this course. The admission for M.Phil courses is based on the marks scored in the RIE Entrance Examination conducted by the RIE.

RIE PG M.Phil Eligibility

The basic eligibility to apply for M.Phil in Education courses is a Post Graduation. Candidates should have a Postgraduate degree MA in Education or M.Ed with a valid score in the Entrance Examination conducted by the college.

RIE Diploma Admission 2024

The college offers a one year Diploma Course in Guidance and Counselling (DCGC). The course is introduced to the target groups of In-service teachers / teacher educators / school administrators / untrained guidance personnel. The class will start from January and ends in December with 12 month duration.

RIE Diploma Eligibility

Candidates should be a Graduate with a teaching degree with 50% marks to apply for the diploma course. The admission will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the performance in essay writing and interview conducted by the selection committee.
